Pet care experience
I started in the dog boarding industry and developed strong bonds with our clients and furry friends. I have continued housesitting throughout the years and look forward to providing excellent service for even more. I am a Midwest transplant from the Chicago suburbs, and have been in the Sacramento since November of 2020. I moved to Elk Grove in February of 2024, but have families that I care for in Folsom, Citrus Heights, Roseville, Woodland, Carmichael, and Rancho Cordova as well. On top of caring for furry friends (dogs and cats), I also have experience with reptiles. Having me in your in your home is the next best thing to you being home. I bring in the mail/newspapers/packages, take out the trash if needed, and most importantly give the love and attention that your companion needs. If they sleep in bed with you at night, he/she is welcome to cuddle up to me while I'm there. Does your best friend get a puppy cup every day or a scoop of vanilla ice cream every Saturday? Consider it done. If your furry friend has a much needed grooming or spa appointment, I'm more than willing to provide transportation. Forgot to grab a new bag of dog food before your trip? I am more than willing to make a run to the store and grab it. I make every effort to spend as much time as i can with the pet(s) I am with and want to establish positive relationships with as many families as I can. I am comfortable adapting to different environments and do my best to cater to the lifestyle of the families I work with. I am fully vaccinated and boosted. I also make every effort to leave your home in the same condition as when you left it. Additional references are available upon request. I can't say enough good things about Deanna. Deanna watched my dog multiple times. I trust her completely! She went above and beyond for my April and was so kind and caring to both of us. Deanna is extremely reliable and paid close attention to what April and I needed. She is thoughtful, considerate, and compassionate, especially when it came to taking care of my dog. Deanna has been an absolute joy to have sit Nala and come over to our home. She communicates well, is responsive and cordial. Nala gets excited when she sees her and I trust that she will take good care of her while we are out. We will definitely be reaching out to her for her services over and over again.
Deanna did a great job watching our dog Eski! She was so good at giving her love and keeping her high energy personality entertained! She not only kept our dog very happy, but she also took great care of our house! Highly recommend!!

Information Deanna W. would like to know about your pet
Would like to know any dietary restrictions or allergies/sensitivities. I also like to have emergency vet information; I've not had to utilize veterinary care for any of my families, but like to have it just in case. If you are flying, please let me know, and I will try to accommodate bookings to allow for some additional flexibility should there be delays or cancellations.
A typical day
Will play with toys as much as possible, walks around the neighborhood, and plenty of cuddling/hanging out. If they have a special routine (i.e. dog park on a certain day or special treats), I will do everything I can to accommodate. I try to mimic their normal routine as much as possible to keep their stress and anxiety to a minimum.

Availability
I work full time M-F 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. I do have a fair amount of flexibility in terms of going into my office right now and can work remotely most of the time. I'm usually up until about 10 p.m. during the week and lucky if I make it to midnight on the weekends. I don't normally have too many plans - the occasional trip to see movie or show, a dinner out, etc. - and not usually gone more than a few hours at a time. Very content to cuddle up on the couch with a book or TV shows/movies and snuggle with fur babies.
