Dog Sitter Here For Your Pets!
Pet care experience
Being a nurse is more than just taking someone’s temperature or blood pressure. It also means listening and being empathetic toward someone else’s feelings and worries, and having a sense of what will bring someone relief and comfort. I’m currently taking a break from being a full-time nurse because I have just welcomed into the world a baby girl and I want to focus on her and more schooling to get to the next level in my nursing degree. By transferring my skills and love of helping others to our furry, four-legged friends has given me purpose again. I love being a nurse and I love animals, especially dogs––so this union really is a match made in heaven. I’m a dog mom to two amazing miniature Poodles, Ruger and Izzy. Your beloved pup would be joining me and my daughter on our daily walks. We also enjoy taking our own pups to the dog park which yours would be welcome to join too! I have plenty of healthcare knowledge that can be used should your pet need it. I’ve watched a dog who suffered from seizures and another who had congestive heart failure that both needed close monitoring and medication administration. I use what nursing knowledge I have learned with my own doggies as well to ensure their health and safety. I have a lot of experience with many different types of animals, having owned various sizes and breeds myself. I have also volunteered at various animal shelters in the past. I volunteered during dog adoptions and have experiences with many breeds such as Labs, Poodles, Labradoodles, Rodegian Ridgebacks, Malteses, Shih Tzus, German Shepherds, Alaskan Malamute, Huskies, Australian Shepherds, Pit bulls, Chihuahuas, Cocker Spaniels, Beagles, Bull dogs, and Boxers. These that I have just mentioned I’ve cared for in my own home. As far as the ones I have experienced from volunteering have mostly been mixed breeds of different sizes from small to large.
Reviews
This girl is AMAZING!! She went out of her way to make sure my babies were taken care of while I was out of state for the day. She sent lots of pictures and the babies really liked her! No question that we will definitely use Deanna ANY time we need someone to watch our fur babies!!
Deanna was great with Mickey! She sent me updates and pictures of the interaction with her baby and her own dogs!
Deanna is the best sitter! She’s super nice and very accommodating! We left our pup Tai overnight and for a day two different times and both times, he was so happy and well cared for. Our pup got along great with her dogs and she kept us updated throughout the stay. We will recommend her to others and continue to use her services ourselves as well.
Another great stay!

Information Deanna M. would like to know about your pet
As a perennial nurse, on and off the clock, I will want the full lowdown about your dog, from diet to exercise routines, health issues and medications, likes/dislikes, triggers like shrieking children or loud motorcycles, etc. A meet and greet is a great way to break the ice and get all the necessary information, on both sides. I’m a dog mom too, so I know exactly what you’re going through. It’s stressful to think you’re leaving your beloved pet with a complete stranger in a new environment. I’ve taken every precaution to make my home safe for Ruger and Izzy, and I will do my best to keep your pup safe and happy. For example, my yard and home is sprayed quarterly for things like ants, scorpions, fleas and ticks, etc. This gives me peace of mind that my dogs, and yours as well, will be safe playing outside in my yard and in the house. Speaking about fleas and ticks, my own dogs are treated monthly with Trifexis for double protection. As a concerned dog mom, I will also send you regular updates by phone, as many times as you’d like. Communication is key to a great working partnership.
A typical day
My neighborhood is called Horizon Point. It’s a new neighborhood and has grown tremendously. This means there is plenty of room to take dogs for long walks. My home is two-stories and has a big fenced in backyard. I’m my free time I love to go hiking, climbing, and snowboarding––really, anything outdoors. And in most cases my two dogs come along as well, so more the merrier I hope! I also have a gate and pen that can be put up to separate the pups during feedings or if some dogs might find the stairs hazardous. Whatever we can do to make your dog feel loved and cared for, you’ve found the right family!
