Pet care experience
For many years I helped my Dad on his farm and house sat regularly with a Labrador dog, 6 or more ducks, 20 or more chickens, 2 goats, and a pig (or 2)! I also took care of my uncle's very active labrador requiring twice daily walks on multiple occasions. I personally owned 2 cats for several years. I just travel too much now to own a pet and would love to take care of yours for a bit on my journey.

My husband and I used Rover for the first time in April when we traveled to the Lower 48 to see the total solar eclipse. We were a little nervous because our cat Inky had never been left alone without either of her “parents”. But thanks to Deanna, everything went smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about a thing! Deanna stayed in our home and sent us pictures of Inky every day. Her communication was outstanding and she responded quickly every time we contacted her. Inky is usually standoffish around new people but she warmed up to Deanna right away – she slept in Deanna’s lap and regularly showed Deanna her belly! We really like that Deanna mostly works from home so she could spend a lot of time with Inky. Deanna is friendly, reliable, and trustworthy and we strongly recommend her! She will be our go-to person whenever we need a pet sitter!
Deanna was a great communicator and took excellent care of our old dog with some special needs, and was a great house guest as well. We would not hesitate to book with Deanna again!

A typical day
Whatever your dog requires activity or medication wise will be no problem. I will be a companion for them and will only have to leave for up to a maximum of 6 hours at a time during available days.

I currently work from home up to 4 days weekly with obligations on the phone and computer, including meetings and public events up to 48 hours weekly. In my off time I pretty much read, write, paint or spend time outdoors hiking or otherwise.
