Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs all around and liked animals more than people. Back in Pittsburgh, I took in two kittens who were found behind a dumpster. After moving to Texas, I rehomed a mama cat and I along with her two kittens. Since then, I have taken in 3 country strays who are now part of our family; they are my whole world. If I am sitting for someone, I will make sure to send updates and treat them as they are my own!

Deanna is absolutely amazing. From the first moment she met our animals, including one with very high anxiety around new people, she knew exactly how to deal with the situation and all of our animals fell in love with her. Her communication is top notch and we never feel like we don’t know what’s going on because of the photo updates and regular messages. She takes great care of our home and it always looks cleaner when we get back from our trips. If you want to have zero worries about your fur babies when you are away then Deanna is the right person for you.
Deanna is a great, caring, loving person who takes woderful care and responsibility for the pets she watches. Our pets are always comfortable with Deanna, she is defintely an animal person! She is calm and friendly and have never had any problems when they are in her care. She is responsible, attentive and let’s know how they are doing while away and cute photos! I’m so glad I have met Deanna, she makes traveling easier on us and our pets. Deanna does not disappoint and your pets will love her!
Deanna stayed a long weekend with our two dogs, and they loved her. She sent lots of photos, which is something we really like. And the house was nice and neat, just as we left it. We've already got her booked for another stay.
I’ve had a couple people sit for my cats and Deanna has by far been the best pet sitter. I have one very skiddish cat and did not expect her to warm up to Deanna, but much to my surprise I received plenty of videos of my girl getting pets! Deanna has such a warm, calm presence that even your timid pets will love her. I will only trust her to watch my pets from now on. We had a great trip with no anxiety because Deanna sent plenty of pictures and videos to ensure our kitties were happy. Thank you, Deanna!!

We currently have 6 cats and 1 dog who are free to roam the land. They know the property boundaries and always stay nearby the home, as the plot is mostly fenced in. I do my best to gather enough information during our meet & greet to keep the pet care consistent since it is stressful enough for the animals to be away from their humans.

I would like to know if your animals need any medication, have any history of being attacked/mistreated, and what their favorite toys and activities are at home so I can make them feel as comfortable as possible!
A typical day
We can play with your dog’s favorite toys, go out for a walk, run around in the backyard, or just relax on the couch together! As for cats, I like to give them space until I figure out their preferences. My cats love cuddling, but I understand that some do not!

Availability
All of my current work is freelance/independent contractor, so I have plenty of time to dedicate to this position. I live in Lincoln but co-own a vacation rental business in College Station, so I do not mind traveling a bit.
