I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, caring for pets of all sizes and personalities, which led me to study veterinary technology at the University of Wisconsin River Falls. In recent years, I’ve worked full-time in both primary and emergency veterinary clinics, gaining hands on experience in roles ranging from receptionist to veterinary assistant. This background has given me a strong understanding of animal health, behavior, and safety. I’m comfortable working with all types of dogs whether they’re energetic and playful, shy and anxious, stubborn, or even reactive. I also have experience handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages, including those who need extra patience and care. I’m dedicated to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away, while also reassuring you that your family member is safe and healthy.

I believe that care should be based of each pet or families needs. I plan to try and keep the pets routine as similar to what they have now as possible. I don’t want them to be confused. I would prefer to go based off the pets needs. Whether walking for 30 mins or giving medications and snuggling. I am willing to even take your canine to a dog park of choice as long as I had selected papers for vaccine information.

We couldn't be happier with Deana as our in home dog sitter! We hired her for a week and she took great care of our two doggos. She was very conscientious of their needs and asked great questions during her meet and greet. She took care of our home and did everything we asked and more! We definitely recommend her and hope we can hire her again!
Deana did an amazing job looking after Mazie. We felt fully confident that Mazie and the house were well cared for. Mazie had a minor medical issue and Deana communicated immediately and very thoroughly, and leaned into her resources to resolve it. The house was left in excellent order. We hope to leave Mazie in Deana's care again in the next few months!
Deana is great! She was very capable and did wonderful taking care of my dog who has a couple of nuances that can be inconvenient to some other sitters. I definitely recommend her and will use her again in the future.
Deana is an absolute gem! She watched our two boys, Dexter and Bentley, overnight and we couldn't have felt more at ease. You can just tell when someone truly loves animals and Deana is that person. She treated our boys like they were her own, and when we came home they were happy, relaxed, and clearly well-loved. At the time, our sweet Dexter was a senior dog who needed medication administered at every meal. Deana handled it flawlessly, she gives the kind of care you just can't put a price on. It also helps that she's in a veterinary technology program, which gave us an extra layer of confidence knowing our boys were in such capable hands. While we had to say goodbye to Dexter, Deana is still our go-to sitter for Bentley.

Schedule
Pet care fits well into my routine as a full-time student at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls with a flexible schedule. During the school year, I’m mostly available afternoons and evenings, and after mid-May I’ll be more open, with a part-time job that varies week to week. I have reliable transportation and am open to overnight care, with occasional early mornings if needed. I prefer advance notice but will do my best to accommodate last minute requests. I tailor my time with each pet based on their needs to make sure they feel comfortable and fully cared for.
