Hello! I was the kid that grew up obsessed with dogs even though I wasn’t allowed to have one of my own until I was an adult. I’ve probably read a library’s worth of books on canine behavior and training over the years and I’m known as the crazy dog lady in my friend group - if you have a dog question, you come to me. I share my life with two amazing Australian Shepherds who I’m training to compete in a variety of dog sports. I also have experience working with dogs who aren’t my own in both a doggie daycare environment and as an in home pet sitter and dog walker. I’m more than comfortable with working on basic training with your puppy or dog during our time together, so feel free to let me know anything you’re working on currently. I have experience with dogs of every age, from puppy to senior, so I can easily adapt to all energy levels and if your dog requires medication, I’m comfortable administering it. I also dabble in pet photography and would be happy to discuss taking photos of your pet during our visit.

DB has also been a very responsible housesitter when I needed her to stay in my house for extended periods of time to watch my dogs. As you can tell, I highly recommend DB!

I will care for your dogs as if they were my own, which means the highest standard of safety and care. I will follow to the letter any instructions you give me about your dog’s care in order to fit as seamlessly into their routine as possible. When out on walks, I avoid close contact with other dogs in order to avoid any possibility of an aggression incident.

To take the best possible care of your furry buddy, I’ll need to know as much as you can tell me about their personality - likes, dislikes, if they are reactive towards anything, such as strangers or other dogs. For walks, I’ll want to know where they typically expect to go and how they generally behave when they’re out and about. If I’ll be watching your dog for an extended period, I need to know what their usual routine is, where their food and treats are kept and how much they’re fed and what the dog’s “house rules” are.
A typical day
I will tailor the activities I do with your dogs to their specific personality. If they love to fetch, fetch it is! If they are a little Einstein who loves to learn, then we can work on trick training. If they love a nice, long walk with lots of time to sniff, then they can feel free to investigate every blade of grass. If they’re a senior who wants to take it slow and prefers to lounge in the sun, I’ll happily sit outside with them for as long as they please.

Availability
I’m currently working from home and can set my own hours for the most part, so my schedule is very adaptable to your needs. If you need me to stay in your home for a full day and/or overnight, I may need to leave for a couple of hours to care for my own dogs, but I’m sure we can come to a specific arrangement that suits both of our needs.
