Animals have always been part of my life. My mum still reminds me how even as a young child I had an connection with all creatures. I have always treated them with respect, kindness, love and necessary guidance. I have had experience with all ages, shapes, sizes and attitudes. I also have experience with special needs and their concerns. The responsibility of taking one of your furbabies into my care, is one that has been thought out with great consideration. I live in a large homey house with a a large back yard with a garden. Consider it a Retreat for your loved ones while you are way. You can leave with the peace of mind that your pups will be included as part of the family. It could be playing in the back yard, strolling around the neighbourhood or chilling on a soft cushy pillow. I have lived in the Queen West West area for 20 years and I am familiar with Vets and parks ( on and off leash) in the area. Looking forward to meeting you and your better ( 4 pawed) half. Dawne looked after our charming, opinionated, elderly Bernese-poodle with unfailing kindness and attention. Her photos and updates made us feel very comfortable when we were far away. Our dog had such a good time that we wondered if she would want to come home! Thanks Dawne for everything.

Dawne was absolutely spectacular! As first time rover user with a 6 month rescue pup I was sceptical about someone watching my dog. I came across Dawnes page and the reviews speak for themselves! Immediately after meeting Dawne I was put at ease about leaving my pup there while I went to work. She socializes with other dogs, takes them for walks and sends updates and pictures throughout the day. You can tell her love for dogs and animals runs deep. I would 10/10 recommend and will be using her again in the future!!
Want to say thanks to Dawne again for taking care of my sweet boy! Topher has never been to a doggy day care before so I was a bit worried on how he would do since he’s an older gent. Dawne had put me at ease all throughout the day keeping me update which was great. Topher can’t wait to spend more visits at Dawne’s place.

A downtown neighbourhood in a home with full-time supervision for your pups. We have a fenced back-yard in Toronto with great neighbours. Lots of chilled space inside and out for an urban city. Pups are normally not crated but what works for them is what is important. Many parks around us but have our own little piece of a get away and we are still at home. :)

Communicating with owner to find out what their fur baby is all about. I want to make the experience as positive as possible for everyone involved. It is important that you are up to date with all necessary shots and prevention. Prevention should include vaccination against Kennel Cough unless your pup is unable to receive this vaccine because of medical reasons. Communicating any health, allergies, phobias or just their funny little quirks that they might have. The more I know about your pup, with all the ups and downs, will make their stay the best that it can be. When you are away, I want you to feel stress free and confident that your family member is in an secure, disciplined, happy and loving environment. Also, if you have dog that is above my weight requirement but is a senior and part of a duo, I can also make exceptions.
A typical day
With your pups stay unless required for bedtime or because of special needs, or your request, your pups will not be crated. We want them to feel part of the family while they are in our care and home. They are also are never left unattended. We have an downtown, fully fenced back yard with garden and space for playing or just chilling Surrounded by great neighbours and a good area for neighbourly walks. Also surrounded by many small and large parks, including Trinity Bellwoods and Stanley Park, which are open or have enclosed dog parks, depending on your pups needs.
