Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs, cats and other pets for over 30 years. I would house sit in college and have had my own pets all of my life. I love animals so much and would love to help you out if you need someone to visit your baby. I currently have one crazy dog who is a chihuahua/terrier mix. I also have 3 cats, one who is almost 19 years old and still trucking! I am a special education teacher for kindergarten through second grade and I have two kids 9 and 12. What a great way to help supplement a teaching salary than by being surrounded by furry babies!! I am so excited to meet yours!

Dawna is such a compassionate and loving person. She adores animals (except spiders) and treats them like family...because they are! She will love on your furry babies and make sure they are well cared for. Another side of Dawna is she's a special ED teacher--the same compassion for loving and caring. Dawna is my daughter. Throughout our lives we have had many cats and dogs. She has always been a loving and caring person for all the animals. As a homeowner, herself she continues to welcome more cats and dogs, even those that were rescued from shelters. Dawna continues to care for animals by teaching her kids the responsibilities that come with having pets. I know Dawna will be a good person to be called upon to care for pets of others, as well.
Dawna has cared for my pets over the years and has always done an outstanding job at ensuring their health and wellbeing. She is clearly an animal lover and understands the peace of mind that an owner takes in knowing that their furry kids will be well cared for when they are away. She has experience with administering medicines and special needs pets and is diligent about making sure that the owner's wishes are followed with a smile. Highly recommend.

I haven't decided if boarding will be an option at this time but my home is definitely suitable for boarding. I have an enclosed back yard. I am well versed in litter box duty (no pun intended LOL).

Availability
I am available on weekends and during the week after 4 PM. Beginning May 20, 2022, I am available everyday all day because I will be off for summer vacation!
