Pet care experience
Start planning that dream vacation. It is also the time of year for kids events and graduations are coming up quick. Send me a message so i can take care of your babies! I have made my personal life about my dogs.I have 4 now, (update 2/2025 I lost my baby boy 😢he was 17 1/2. My house has always be filled with dogs no less than 3 in the past 30 years I have saved 24 in the past 30 years.I have adopted older dogs, handicapped dogs and I actually just adopted my first puppy (she is a tripod)! I have adopted 2 paralyzed dogs and I'm pretty good at doing diapers and taking care of older dogs.I am also good with cats! I have been on your side of this process before of hiring someone from Rover, I have done meet and greets with perspective sitters. All I can say is when people come over for a meet and greet and they don't look thrilled to see your animals or answer your questions to your satisfaction, always go with your GUT feeling. I have ignored these red flags before and hired them and my last hire was a nightmare. And I was 12 hours away and it was over Thanksgiving, so you can only imagine my panic. I want people to go away or even out and enjoy themselves and not worry that their furbaby is not being properly taken care of. It's unfortunate that people feel this is an "easy" way to make money. It is not! First you need to have an honest love for animals. If not then they are not going to get the love, attention and pets you want them to get.You are responsible for people's fur-babies, making sure they are safe outside either in yards or walks. You need to be aware that the animal is in good condition when you are there or informing the owner and they will tell you if that's normal behavior or not. And you are also responsible for the home that has been entrusted to you with either key or code. They also need to be fed and walked in the schedule you have given. Or given medication at the correct time. I have many pics in my gallery, some are mine and some are my clients! I love to take pictures, and families like receiving them. I update you usually at the end of my visit, with pictures of your happy baby.

Reviews

Dawn was great! She was very communicative and professional and took great care of my cat.

Dawn is amazing! We have booked her twice now to take care of our three cats while we are away and will book her again and again. She is attentive to our cat’s different needs, super personable, and always gives updates on how the cats are doing. We appreciate how trustworthy she is and can always have peace of mind when we are away now knowing she is keeping our babies in good hands!

Dawn was amazing, so communicative and our dogs loved her!! Would 100% use again!!

Dawn was amazing. Tinkerbell was well taken care of!. She sent updates each time she was with her.

The care of your pets would be at your home, where they are most comfortable. I can walk, play or just drop in and visit to check on them and give medication if needed. Give them a few treats if that is allowed. I would want them to become used to me and excited when I go over. Them being in their familiar surroundings is very important, it is going to make them much happier and less anxious.
Information Dawn S. would like to know about your pet
Their likes and dislikes, what scares them, how they react to kids, people, other dogs etc. Their eating habits and bathroom ones too. Can they have treats--any allergies? What is their normal routine, when you would come home from work what would you do first, second? We need to try and keep them on the schedule you determine is best.
A typical day
I talk to the dogs a lot lol. i definitely think I get some strange looks, but I thinks it's important to keep them engaged with you and possibly distracted from things going on in the outside world. If the need walks long or short just keep me informed. If they go out in the yard, I will be out with them. Throwing the ball or toys, inside or out. Maybe even a few minutes of brushing if that is something that they enjoy and calms them down. I have been on your side of this hiring process--so I know what has been done and not done by sitters that I have had experiences with.

Availability
I do have availability during the week and weekends. During the day i work, but I do visits before work, after work or later evening. I would love to help you and find what your needs are and how we can make them work between both our schedules.
