Caring couple in idyllic retreat for your dog.

Pet care experience

We have opened up our bookings for 2024 and are now only accepting repeat customers for 2023. We welcome all new and return bookings for 2024. Throughout our lives my partner, Greg, and I have had pets at home. Growing up my family owned a few pet shops, so from a young age until early adulthood animals were and continue to be a big part of my life. This has given Greg and I a good knowledge of animals. We play a big part in the care of our friends and families pets. They put their faith and trust in us to care for their pets whilst they are at work or on holiday. Something they value and we enjoy. We both have flexible work schedules that allows us to spend quality time with your pet and give them the time and care they need. This can include spending the day with them at our home or them joining us at work where they have access to a large walled garden to play in all day long.

Truly lovely people that look after our dog like we do ourselves. Couldn’t ask for more perfect sitters!

A heartfelt thank you to Dawn and Greg for looking after Nelson for over 2 weeks ! We had never left him before and were really worried about finding the right place where he would thrive. And thrive he did ! He came back healthier and fitter and full of beans. We could see from the daily updates how well he fitted in and how much fun he was having. Dawn and Greg have a wonderful way with dogs and Nelson is definitely looking forward to his next visit.

Dawn was wonderful and treated Tyrion like the little Prince he believes himself to be. Highly recommended and I will definitely book her again in the future. Thank you.

We are lucky to live in 15 acres of fenced land in the countryside. We live in a large static caravan whilst we build our home. Our home is warm and comfortable, clean, and tidy and makes an enjoyable retreat for the dogs that stay with us. We have large low windows that enable your dog, when inside, to enjoy the quiet surroundings. In our experience dogs who stay with us enjoy watching the sheep and ponies in the fields. In particular, they love watching the pheasants and a wide variety of birds that are in our garden every day. We have lots of lovely walks on our doorstep.

Information Dawn S. would like to know about your pet

When planning a stay with us, we like to invite you and your dog here to give you a chance to get to know us and see our home and the surrounding area. When staying at your home we will make a plan to visit you and your dog at your home. We like a chance to get to know your dog in the comfort of you being there. This gives us a chance to learn what your dogs routine is and how we can make our stay as comfortable for you and your dog. I would like to know as much information about your dog to understand and make sure we are the best fit for each other. I would want to have a thorough understanding of their likes and dislikes, their daily routine, what activities they enjoy and don't, how they manage on walks and with other people or animals. This helps us give your pet the best experience and for you to have peace of mind. We want your dog to feel happy, safe and settled at our home.

A typical day

We love to keep pets minds and bodies active through long walks, play time and games. Our fields make for a very enjoyable walk for all dogs we've had staying with us. They enjoy the wide variety of scents from the wildlife, jumping over the large grassy reeds or playing with their ball. We enjoy taking them outside and enjoying different settings- beach walks, river walks, running around or road walks. We are spoiled for choice in Ayrshire and we make the most of it! We also enjoy short walks and chilled days so we can adapt our day for older dogs or those who prefer a chilled out day full of cuddles and couch time.
