I decided to join Rover.com as a care provider after having to leave my own three dogs at a boarding facility while my family went on vacation. Although the facility took good care of my dogs, it broke my heart to leave them there, without the personal care (and snuggles) they are accustomed to receiving. As a care provider, I am committed to providing your pet with the same kind of attention, care, and comfort I would want my own dogs to receive. I grew up on a working ranch, raising dogs, cattle, sheep and horses. When I was younger, I was a member of the 4-H program, with lamb, horse, dairy, and beef projects. I absolutely adore dogs and my husband and I rescued/fostered dogs through a national French Bulldog rescue group for several years. This work also included providing training, medical treatment with our vet, reviewing applications for our foster dogs, interviewing potential adopters and performing home-checks prior to adoption. I also have enjoyed participating in basic dog training programs with my personal pets and try to continue educating myself about dog behavior through reading books by a variety of different trainers (and training methodologies). Working closely with my veterinarian, I have become passionate about dog nutrition and have experience with both feeding high-quality kibble and raw diets. Because of my work with Frenchies, I understand and am sensitive to the special needs of brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds. I'm very excited to care for your dog during afternoon/early evening walks and overnight care in your home!
