Pet care experience
I've been raised with animals all my life. From helping my brother on a farm, to always having cats and dogs (and other various pets) all my life. I love animals and treat them like family. I love to pamper them, but always abide by the owners instructions. Dogs are allowed on the couches and I have extra dog beds for guests, or bring theirs if it would make them comfortable. I have lots of toys, and a nice sized grassy back yard. I have two rescue dogs (female) who are friendly with other dogs. They are small/medium sized. Terrier mixes. I’ve housesat for friends, neighbors, and family for years. Everyone said I should start sitting because I love animals so much. I am skilled at giving medications and taking care of special needs pets as well. I have no issue cleaning up after a pet or cleaning litter boxes. I will provide lots of love for each animal while you are away. I also am happy to send pictures to you as well. Every animal and situation is unique. Feel free to contact me to ask questions. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, turtles, birds, fish… You name it I probably cared for it. I’ve owned ferrets, hedgehogs, Guinea pigs, rats, a skunk, possums, and chinchillas through my life. I love all animals!

Dawn came to our home to take care of our cats. She was here twice a day for one week and sent funny messages and photos each day. It seemed that she really enjoyed getting to know them. She even watered a droopy plant and brought in the mail. It was really great to know that everything was good at home! I would recommend her to family and friends.
Dawn is wonderful. From the moment we met Dawn we knew our Daisy Mae would be well loved and cared for. She sent us pictures and videos with daily updates on how our girl was doing. The day we picked up Daisy Mae she was mopey all day. She missed her pals, so we knew she felt comfortable with Dawn and her two dogs. We have found our forever dog sitter.
Dawn is a dog whisperer!!! Jed is a nervous dog who had been through a lot. It takes him time to warm up to strangers, and she was so patient and good with him. She took the time to meet with us before our trip. She sent us pictures and videos every day of Jed’s progress, and by the time our trip was over, I don’t think Jed wanted to leave ?. We can’t thank Dawn enough for taking such great care of our boy, and we hope to book her again for our next trip!

I have a fenced backyard, and a dog gate I can put around the front door to make sure when I go to answer the door if needed. I have dog ramps and stairs for the little ones so they can get on the couches or the bed if allowed to sleep with me. I followed the instructions the owners give me. I go over any concerns with them and we typically do a meet and greet before the pet stays. If going to an owners home, I can wear a mask if needed. I follow any instructions and/or COVID protocols they give me. I don’t mind taking out the trash or grabbing the mail while I’m there.

If coming to my home they have to be friendly with other animals. I have two small/med size terrier mixes. I am available for drop ins in your home. . I typically sit for one client only unless that client is OK with me having another clients pets at my house. There are occasional overlaps on pick up and drop off days.
A typical day
We can play fetch, and go for walks Snuggling on the couch is allowed, and they can sleep with me if they want to. I have some great walking trails around my neighborhood.I don’t mind taking out the trash or grabbing the mail also while there.

Availability
Whenever I am gone for any length of time, I separate my dogs to a different area unless the dog or dogs I am taking care of are here frequently and they all get along well. I also verify with the owner to see what they are most comfortable with. I have a very large kitchen dining room area that I’m able to separate from the living room, I have dog beds, weewee pads, and water as well as toys and chewies for them. I will talk to the owner so they understand the time frames I will need to be away from the house. I have a doggie door for the dogs to go outside for those able to use it. Otherwise I set up scheduled potty times outside and stay out with them until they are ready to come in. Every dog is unique, and I can tailor situations to best fit your dog. For drop in visits during the week I typically have to be there between 730 and 830 in the morning, and then I can tailor the evening visit to the best time frame that works for you.
