WFH, Professional, Reliable

Pet care experience

Hello there, I'm Dawn, a lover of all animals - whether they have fur, feathers, or scales! I've been pet-sitting with Rover since 2017 and would love to take care of your pet when you're out and about. I'm professional, reliable, and available to care for all sorts of animals. I have extensive experience caring for nervous, shy, or anxious pets and have a basic understanding of dog reactivity from working with various trainers and my own rescue pups over the years. Feel free to scroll through my pictures - you will see dogs, cats, snakes, lizards, rodents, and even birds! When you trust your pet to my care, I will happily update you with a detailed report card and plenty of pictures following our visit to reassure you they're doing great!😊

I can’t express my appreciation for Dawn enough! She was so communicative and willing to help us with our pup on short notice. She was flexible and went over the top to let us know how the visit went. Our pup seemed so well-loved and happy after their walk. We look forward to using Dawn again!

I always take the time to ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable with me by taking things at their pace. Water and food are replaced as needed, and any destruction or messes are tidied. Locked doors are always double-triple-checked to ensure no escapes and I generally always carry a spare leash in the event it's needed on dog walks when we're out and about.

Information Dawn B. would like to know about your pet

I meticulously follow all instructions, so the more details I have on your pet's specific needs, the better! If we haven't worked together before, I will ask for a free 20-minute meet & greet to ensure that your pet is comfortable with me and that I fully understand your expectations and their care requirements. How does your pup interact with other dogs and people? I am comfortable with all dog breeds, however, if your dog is over 50 lbs I do ask that they be fully leash trained and non-reactive. I understand and am comfortable with different dog behaviors, but I am pretty petite so larger reactive dogs may not be the best fit. What is your pets usual schedule and what is their personality is like? Do they have any medications I'll have to administer? Any food allergies? Are they reactive to any specific stimuli? If there are any specific health concerns or behavior issues, please make note of them for us discuss. Please note: your booking is not finalized until we both confirm (which will occur after or during the meet & greet) and the booking is paid for. You can provide the key/entry instructions during this visit. Also, please place your requests with the correct number of pets in order to protect them under the Rover guarantee! If you have multiple cats or dogs that need any type of attention, feeding, or cleaning - they need to be listed on their own profiles (minus fish for house sitting requests).

A typical day

** DOG WALK (30 min) visits include: dog walk (or jog if they're high energy), pets and scratches, pictures, water (and food if requested) replacement. **** Please note: During the summer months and excessive Arizona summer heat, I do not walk dogs on pavement or concrete. I will only walk dogs if there is immediately accessible grass (i.e., a greenbelt) or if the area is permanently shaded to ensure their paws are safe. If grass or shade are not available, I will supervise limited outside yard time for their relief and exercise, while minding heat advisories. ** DROP IN (30 min) visits include: Dog outdoor potty break, cat litter scooping, oral medication, play, pets and scratches, water (and food if requested) replacement. ** HOUSE SITTING stays include: Dog outdoor potty breaks every two-three hours, at least one 30-minute dog walk (or jog if they're high energy) per day, cat litter scooping, oral medication, play, pets and scratches, water and food replacement. I can also water plants if requested and will always leave your home as tidy as when I arrived.
