I have been an animal lover ever since I can remember. My childhood pets included dogs, rabbits, ducks, iguanas, a goat and a peacock! My current pets are 3 Australian Shepherds (a mini red tri named Scooby, a mini black tri rescue puppy named Journey and a blue merle mini aussie named Piper that we recently rescued from a neglect situation...she is malnourished and under socialized, so we are nursing her back to health and hopefully earning her trust in the process). We also have 3 backyard chickens named Sunny, Connie and Drippy! I have also been a foster mom for the humane society since 2021 and have cared for over 60 small mammals (mostly rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters). I have 3 years experience as a kennel attendant & veterinary assistant...feeding, cleaning, walking, bathing, trimming nails, giving vaccinations and administering medication. I have enjoyed volunteering at the National Mill Dog Rescue in the past and have also done agility with my favorite blue merle Aussie, Baloo. Currently, I volunteer weekly with Stable Strides, a horse therapy program for individuals with adaptive needs. I am passionate about animals and how much they enrich our lives!
