I have had so many experiences with different dogs over the course of my life, but a few I must share. My ex-girlfriend (one ex-ago) had 11 months-old german shephard/lab mix named Roxie that I just loved to death! She was brown and black with bits of white on her head and other random places and she was just so smart. I'm convinced she knew what her mother (my ex) and I were saying to her. Anyway, I would walk her and try my best (fail) to outrun her at the dog parks and trails we took her to. She had all the little doggie treat toys for dogs that need constant stimulation so that they don't get bored and chew through everything, which she still did and I'm sure still does. My current girlfriend has a Shih poo named Cookie who is 3 years old and silly as heck. She also speaks english and knows when she has a treat coming her way or when she is doing something that will get her into trouble. Cookie visits out apartment from time to time and we get to take her out and play. She's the greatest because she has a bathroom schedule and always knows how to alert us that she needs to go outside. We can put food in her bowl for the whole day and she eats when she is hungry (unlike Roxie that once got into her food and just kept eating until someone noticed she was being very quiet). She loves to jump and do flips off of your leg and jump on your bed when you're not looking. Poor Cookie had to be spayed because her grandma (my girlfriend's mom) and doctor thought she was too small to have a litter. Even then she still had plenty of energy and was a fashionista in her cone.
