Play Fetch, go for a Walk and Chill

Pet care experience

Hi there. Come let your pooch play and relax in my fenced-in back yard while you're away. I have owned a few dogs over the years (but none currently). I have a Nice home, with a nice fenced backyard. There's plenty of room to play fetch, and other stuff. Your dog can Chill in the shade of a tree, or cozy-up on a couch inside. I live on a quiet street, in a nice neighborhood of SW county (in Roanoke). I enjoy dogs, and enjoy having one stay here occasionally. It's a 'win-win' situation, because I enjoy dogs & I feel your dog will enjoy it here. Your dog & I can also take walks around my neighborhood, if your dog can handle it. :) *PLEASE READ ADDITIONAL PROFILE DETAILS - About Time frames & Billing Correctly.

We highly recommend David! This was our first time using Rover and we were nervous about leaving our dog, Olive, for a whole week with someone we didn't know. After meeting David, our fears dissipated and we felt pretty confident that Olive would enjoy her stay. David has a calm, gentle demeanor, and Olive seemed relaxed around him from the beginning. We enjoyed the daily pictures of Olive that he texted to us. We will definitely ask David again if we need someone to watch our dog!

It was great leaving Nessie with a David over the weekend. Nessie was welcomed as part of the family. David has a great fenced backyard to explore. Nessie says she will be happy to go visit again.

I was a little nervous to leave Maia with a stranger, but David was amazing and made me feel very comfortable. He sent pictures and updates throughout the weekend, but was not overwhelming with the communication. I like that she was able to have company and attention and sleep in a warm, comfortable place rather than at the kennel. I would definitely bring Maia back to David when I need a sitter in the future!

David Is calm and caring and took great care of Watson. I don’t often leave Watson but when I do he usually comes home unnerved. That was not the case this time. Thank you!

Information David W. would like to know about your pet

While large dogs are OK, I do not want a dog that will Drool all over my house and carpets and furniture. Nor should they dig under fences, or a dog that will not just indiscriminately chew threw the furniture in my house. :) **Important** If you plan to drop off your dog in the Morning, and don't plan to pick up your dog until the afternoon/evening/night of the following day.....Then request a TWO (2) 'night' stay. Because, I'm watching your dog for Two Full days that way. So please be clear & be FAIR in your requests and time-frames. ((think of it as a 24 hr. clock.)) Sometimes, we may wish to just tack-on an additional "Doggie Day Care" fee, to cover the overages / the late pick-ups and stuff like that. I realize traveling & pick-up times are sometimes hard to predict - so this allows the owner greater flexibility too.

A typical day

Dogs must pack a leash, and I happily take them for walks around my neighborhood. Depending on the length of stay, we may take a Hike too.
