I have taken care of dogs for about 2 years and actually have trained a few dogs behaviorally the right and humane way and shown results for the past year. I stray from choke, prong, and shock collars due to those are short term and simply inhumane when working with dogs. The dogs I have worked with ranged from small pomeranians to black labs and golden retrievers and also from dogs of 6 months old to 12 years old dogs. I also work with high energy dogs to play with them to truly tire them out as dogs were domesticated to work with people. The best way to tire a dog out is to interact with person. So, we would play tug of war, fetch, and other mind inducing activities.
