Pet care experience
I’ve been blessed to be a dad to two Labrador Retrievers and they’ve instilled a great sense of love and caring for all dogs. Like you, when I need a boarding service, I want my pups to receive warm, focused care and attention. Kennels can be good, but somehow not good enough. That’s where I can help. I live with my 7 year old chocolate lab, Koda. He’s a gentle, playful guy who gets along with all dogs. We live on 4 acres that are not fenced in. Your dog will go out throughout the day on a 30’ leash. With your permission we can play ball or another form of exercise off leash. We’ll also go for 45-60 minute walks on the paths of a nearby preserve. And if your pup is safe and confident at a dog park we’ll do there, too. With your permission your dog will accompany Koda and me on errands. Where we go we want your dog to go, too. I’ll be with your dog 24/7 while s/he is with us. Your dog can be on the couch with us, and can sleep in your crate or on the bed. I’m good with giving medications and injections as needed. If your dog can be aggressive, or has other behavioral issues, my home isn’t the place for your pup. I’ll gladly welcome your puppy or young dog, and will continue/reinforce training per your direction.

This review is overdue! We used David again for a second stay for our lab Maya, and things just get better and better! Once again David gave great care and attention to Maya and for us in the form of frequent updates and pictures. We weren’t sure about pick up time and David was super flexible and understanding which gave us the peace of mind to know we didn’t have to stress out if we ran late. I would absolutely book David again, we are all so glad we found him! Thank you 😊
David is fantastic! He is such a dog person and his home and yard are perfect for making a dog feel right at home. He was great with the photos and communicating the activities of the day. I highly recommend David to watch your dog!
This was our first time using Rover or anyone to watch our 8 month old lab and we could not be happier! David was and excellent caretaker, very kind and accommodating, we got frequent updates and pictures which was very reassuring. Our dog Maya had a great time there and we would be happy to use David again for her care. Booking and payment also very easy. 10 stars!!
My German Shepard mix, April, has stayed with David four times. He’s definitely a dog person and takes great care of April. He took time to get to know both of us before April’s first stay. That gave me a ton of confidence she’d be in the best of hands.

We live on 4 unfenced acres. Your dog will take breaks on a 30’ leash. Only with your permission (and my confidence) will your pup play off leash on the quiet acreage. I have experience raising and training young dogs and I’ve also cared for my senior dog. Again, I’ll be with your dog 24/7 giving him/her the level of care you want for your pup.

Information David S. would like to know about your pet
We’ll work out all details of your dog’s stay including feeding instructions, medications, behaviors, potty schedule, sleeping arrangements, permission for dog park visits and off-leash play/exercise, physical limitations, etc. I will not take a dog into my home without a Meet and Greet.
A typical day
After breakfast we’ll go for a walk around the 4 acre property. This walk will be leashed. Your pup will be taken out for poop/pee breaks every two hours. While I’m working at home your dog will have run of the house and is free to play with favorite toys and nap on furniture or dog bed. Afternoons will include a trip to the nearby (1.5 mi) lake preserve for a 45-60 min walk or, with your permission, a visit to the dog park with my dog. Evenings will include a walk right before bed...along with his/her favorite treat. Your pup can sleep with Koda and me, or in your kennel.
