Growing up, my family always had at least 2 dogs (and cats, birds, etc). We regularly volunteered at the local animal shelter and pet-sit for neighbors and family friends. From a young age I remember rolling around on the floor playing with a family friends' Rottweilers and Mastiffs. Eventually, we took to adopting dogs that had histories of abuse or behavioral issues and needed special attention. Later on, I also trained a Seeing Eye Dog named Alto. Now, living in a small apartment without funding or time to own a dog, I'd like to find a way to continue working with animals. Communication is best via phone/text or email. Typically, when petsitting, I'll feed and walk/play in the morning prior to work at the day-job (9-5), and feed and walk/play in the evening after work, along with any additional needs. Walks on my lunch break are possible, but may be difficult depending on the distance from Albany.
