Pet care experience
Hello! My name is David and I am a Rover Premier sitter. As a Retired Customs and Border Protection Canine Officer, I have a lot of respect for the bond between humans and dogs. I would love to offer your dog a safe and loving home while you are away. I have over 16 yrs. handling and taking care of dogs. We have A/C and we use it. We have solar with battery backup so A/C is not a problem. My 21 year old daughter is also very helpful and just loves the dogs we take care of. Your pet will receive the best care and attention. Caution......your pet may not want to leave when it's time to pick them up. (just kidding). LOL When your dog stays with me, they are in the care of a lifelong dog lover. I have continuously lived and worked alongside them. I love the calming effect dogs have on me and I am happy to do whatever they want to do, whether that's playing in the yard or going for walks around the neighborhood. If you book an overnight stay with me I will walk your pet upon request. The walks are only $5.00 per walk. 5 walks for $20.00. Our fenced yard is great for doggy guests to run around in. We have 2 shady ten foot wide patios, where we like to relax in the evenings and where the dogs can keep cool. Our house sits in a canyon and there are many birds. We spend a lot of time outside. I am a great dog sitter because I am experienced, loving and will follow your every instruction. Please send me a message, I would love to meet you! I can send u phone pics during your pets stay so you can see how they are doing. I can also update you via text daily. Be sure to bring the following items if needed. Please be sure to bring your own pet food. Our food may not be the same and it is best to keep your dog on a steady diet eating the same food they are used to. Dog bowls and pans. Medicines Dog Toys. Cuddle blankets Anything that your pet is emotionally attached to so they can feel more at home. Leashes and collars. Dog crates. Airport or the metal ones are good also. Use of Dog Crates are determined by an agreement between myself and the pet owner. You will determine when and if Dog crates will be used. I will only use them with your permission or when it is necessary for safety reasons. I think that any long term use of Dog crates (beyond 2 hrs.) (excluding nighttime)is cruel to pets. and not advised. Dogs need constant attention and should be given multiple breaks to maintain their comfort levels. Did you know dogs do not prespire? They manage their body heat through urination. Good to know huh. They need lots of breaks during hot days and times when they are very active. Also, if you are a new client and I have not cared for your pet before please be sure to book in advance so we can have time for a meet and greet. It will also allow us to cover all the information that is needed for your pets stay. Last minute bookings do not work out so well if you are not a repeat client. Repeat clients: last minute bookings are perfectly fine.

Cynder always enjoys her dog-cations here. Thank you for your endless care.
As always, Cynder was well taken care of. Thank you!!
Wonderful house. Cynder always has a great time. Thank you!!
Great! Had some trouble getting back to pick up my dog. David was nice and let me pick him up later. I offered to pay for the extra time and he refused. Would definitely recommend to others.

Information David O. would like to know about your pet
Before sitting your dog, I would love to know what their normal routine is and if they have any special needs. I also want to know their likes and dislikes and if they are sensitive about anything. I will take the time to become familiar with any concerns you have about your canine. I love dogs period, small, medium and large. I generally do not sit dogs larger than 40 lbs. because dogs bigger than 40 lbs. can be fence jumpers. My fences are not high enough to keep them in. However if you have 2 dogs one being small and the other is large i will consider taking them both.
A typical day
I am a bona fide morning person, and would take your dog on a nice walk around our neighborhood first thing. As soon as we returned to the house, everyone would get a delicious breakfast. Since I am home full time, your dog would accompany me during my daily routine of chores and working on my home. We would end the day with dinner and another walk, spending the evening in the yard.
