Cooper's stay with David was a complete disaster . Cooper is 4 1/2 month old labra doodle and was almost 98% house trained the last 2 weeks prior to our weekend stay booking. We met with the family three weeks prior to this stay , and we were assured that the family could handle a puppy in training . We dropped Cooper off on Friday 8-18-17 approximately 90 minutes before we left to the airport to take our trip for the weekend in San Diego. We left a complete list of instructions : Coopers feeding schedule, toileting routine, sleep schedule and commands to reinforce what we had already taught him. We met with Andrea' - David's wife who was pleased to take care of Cooper for this weekend , as David was out of town. We learned later that Andrea was not consider as a sitter with Rover , only David. Before our plane landed in San Diego at 8:00 PM , I received a text message from David to call him . I called while we were still on the plane and was informed by David that Andrea could not continue to watch Cooper as he had had several mistakes in the house . They asked us what our backup plan was.. I told him that we didn't have a back up plan because we were counting on this placement working. David then advised me that he would call ROVER and have another sitter take over . I informed David that that is not acceptable for alternative placement until we first met them. The worst part was Andrea was too upset to talk with me directly via phone and I had to speak with David who was out of town. It was very disturbing not to be able to contact the person who was taking care of our puppy. Because we were left with no alternatives , our 25 year old daughter was able to drop what she was doing , drive 2 hours to rescue our puppy. She had to meet with Andrea at a Soccer field as her son was playing . Elana who had no prior experience taking care of Cooper had him the next two days without any accidents or house mistakes the entire time. This experience was VERY upsetting to us especially Friday night when we heard about this problem , until Saturday when Cooper was picked up by Elana.. If Elana had not been available , we would have had to flight back home on Saturday morning . Andrea did not respond to my text or call initially so we had no idea what Coopers condition was all night . Only after I texted David the next day did I receive a text back from Andrea . I hope no one else would have to go thru this experience .

We had such a wonderful experience with David. Our little puppy couldn't be happier. Thanks so much for taking such good care of her!
