If your dog needs to go on a run, we definitely will go on runs or long walks. I personally like to talk to animals during walks and occasional strolls, this is a formal way of bonding and getting them to be fond of me and feel comfortable. After all what matters most is that your pet has a great time being out doors. I've had 6 dogs and 5 cats for years and I've always lived in households that had pets and of course I've helped out with them as well. Doing so for anyone who needs help with their pets is no problem for me. To specify on dogs, they were all German Shepherds, very large ones as well. So no, large dogs is absolutely not a problem.
