Your dog’s ultimate solo vacation!
Pet care experience
Unlike with a lot of rovers, boarding with me is a tailored experience. As a dog owner myself, I understand it’s not easy asking someone else to take care of your pup. That’s why I’m only taking one client at a time—however far you’re traveling, you know your pet has my undivided attention. I also like to keep owners posted with pictures and videos, whether the pup’s sniffing flowers or just chasing his/her own tail in between flower sniffing. Of course that’s just my personal preference for when my pup gets sent to a Rover, feel free to let me know if you’d prefer to get more or fewer updates.
Reviews
Koda had such a blast with David and his dog Benji! He communicated with us frequently and gave the most wonderful updates on our boy’s vacation with them! Would book again without hesitation
David did a great job of taking care of our dog. He was very communicative, giving us daily updates with pictures and sometimes video. When our dog started pawing at a sore on her face, he even went out and got a cone for her. Would definitely recommend!
David is someone you can trust with the well-being of your dog. He is professional and asks the right questions to better learn and understand them. My pup is loving but also can be difficult at times due to his past trauma. David inquired more about the behavior and how to make my dog as comfortable as possible. I was grateful that not only my dog was being watched but was being cared for. When I came to pick him up after a night's stay - he was calm, relaxed and happy! Please consider David as you find someone to trust with your furry family member!
David was great with timely updates

I grew up in a family of many dogs and have taken care of friends and neighbors dogs growing up. Dogs tend to stay around me while I’m working in my office, but if they wander off I check on them every 30 minutes. There’s cameras on both floors of my apartment so I can also see them at any time easily. We have a dog gate on our front door as an extra measure of security. Additionally, all food stays behind closed doors and out of reach.

Information David J. would like to know about your pet
To ensure your pup and I have a great time together, I’d need these ahead of time: Proof of vaccine Any special care needs A brief description of food and potty schedule Preferred vet just in case Anything not listed above that you think I should know
A typical day
Here are some activities you can typically expect from a day of boarding for your pup: 1. Potty breaks every two hours, consisting of short walks around the block or a play session in the gated dog area in my complex (we usually play fetch there). In hot summer days this might be adjusted depending on the temperature. 2. Tons of petting. Both my partner and I work from home, so rest assured your pup will get his/her petting needs satisfied 3. Tug of war. My dog LOVES tug of war. I do it with him every day—it’s a great way of not only tiring him out but also training him to let go on command. If your dog loves tug of war, he/she is in for a treat. 4. Two long walks every day. This can range from 15mins to 45mins each depending on the weather and your dog’s energy level. Please feel free to let me know if your pup prefers longer or shorter walks so I can adjust accordingly. Again, perks of being the only client!

Availability
I work from home and set my own schedule. I have full availability to give all of my attention to your fur baby and make sure they are cared for. Whenever I take a break from my desk to stretch, I like to take the pups outside. That could range from a short walk around the block, to a play session in the gated dog run area in my complex. In addition to the potty breaks, the dogs get a long walk in the morning and another at dawn so they can sniff all they want!
