I'm new to rover, but I have been walking and housing my uncle's Labrador for years. I say that a tired dog is a good dog, so before any stay the dog gets an hour or two of walking just to take the edge off. I live in an older house a quarter mile off the main road in the middle of a farm. I have access to A LOT of walking space, and I have walked just about every inch of it with my Uncle's dog. If your dog likes water (labs) the farm has its own boat landing on the Pecatonic River. Sometimes I drive over to Beckman Lake or the Cheese Country Trail to put on some miles someplace new. I have a large fenced-in back yard. The house is older, which means I can (and do) regularly clean dog and cat puke out of the carpet without worry. (Why the previous tenant decided to put white carpet in a farm house is beyond me.)
