Pet care experience
I have owned dogs of many sizes, from Chihuahuas, Dachshunds, Golden Retrievers, German Shepards, and have spent time taking care of a wonderful Great Dane/Lab mix. I live next to Green Lake with a wonderful trail to walk a dog around, and a dog friendly apartment to relax at home with. I have lived with dogs my entire life, and truly believe dogs are a reflection of the love and support you give them. I love to spoil a dog who is deserving, but know when the importance of training a young puppy outweighs the desire to spoil. I recently moved to Seattle, and have not yet rescued a new dog of my own, and would love to share my current free time and availability to a dog in need of activity, support, and friendly training.

David served as the primary caregiver for his roommate's dog, Jimmy while the roommate was not home. David and this roommate lived together for a couple of years and she was not home very often. David was very attentive to Jimmy's needs. He made sure Jimmy always had food and water in his bowls and got routine walks. Jimmy was a younger dog, so David made sure Jimmy went on longer walks to get the proper exercise. Jimmy grew very fond of David and would follow him around the house and join us on the couch to watch TV. David's attentiveness, patience, and caring spirit make him a great caregiver for animals.

I would like to know if the dog is generally potty trained, if they typically respond to their name alone, or if there have been any troublesome incidents in the past. I have no preference on the breed of the dog.
A typical day
I enjoy going on walks/jogs around Green Lake, a nice 3.5-4.0 mile track, I enjoy going to the park next to the water to be available for tossing a Frisbee/tennis ball to play fetch, as well as walks around the general neighborhood.
