Pet care experience

My wife (Camilla) and I have been sitting dogs, practically continuously, for about 2 years. Before that we were the go-to sitters for our friends and family. We have sat through another website called Trusted House Sitters all across the country, and even internationally! We have taken care of a wide range of dogs and cats. We have taken care of a whole litter of puppies with their parents, a rescue who had trust issues with both other dogs and people, a pair of old dogs that needed specific medication and routines throughout the day, and a young dog that needed a ton of exercise throughout the day. All of this to say is that we have seen it all, and love all dogs of all shapes and sizes. My wife and I are fully remote, full-time employees, where we both have a very flexible schedule. I go on runs/long walks most mornings before work so if your dog needs a lot of exercise I can do that in the morning or after work. I can also do small-medium walking throughout the day. We are also available most weekends and can do whatever with them. We also have our own car so if your dog likes to go on hikes/walks other places, we can bring them there our self. We are very attentive when it comes to the pets! We love to give them attention and love to walk with them. Usually the way that we get them to like us is bribing through treats. We are extremely respectful of other people's homes when we are there, and can even do other services while we are there like little errands or watering plants. We like to leave the house better than how we got there :)

Our dog stayed with David & Camilla for the 3rd time, and they've taken great care of him each time! They even took him hiking and apple picking this weekend. Can't recommend them highly enough.

They were so great with my baby! Will definitely be using them when his regular sitter is unavailable.

Lenny stayed with David & Camilla for 4 nights and they did an awesome job taking care of him! We got daily updates, and they followed all of our instructions and made sure he got all the exercise he needed. I'd highly recommend them!

David & Camilla looked after our westie for 10 days. We rarely leave our pup with new people, but they made him feel at home right away. They live right across from a park, so our pup got lots of fun outside time. They sent us pictures every day and we could tell our pup was having a wonderful time. We will definitely be using David & Camilla again !

Safety, trust & environment

We live right next to Cambridge Common (literally a 1 minute walk away) so the vast majority of our walks are done in that park. Otherwise, if the dog is good in the car, we like to take them on hikes on the weekends. We are respectful of the requests of the client and are flexible in the way that we care for the dog. Our general rule is that we will treat the dog the same in our place as you do in yours. If the dog isn’t eating a lot or needs to go out more than usual, we communicate that with the owner.

Information David & Camilla K. would like to know about your pet

I am very adaptable to many kinds of dogs. I would like to know their energy levels, medication they need and when/if they need it, how often they usually go out for a potty break, and how they interact with other dogs/people. Just the basic things!

A typical day

I like to hang out with the dogs throughout the day. I usually start my day with a long walk/run so if your dog needs that in the day I can take them then. I also have numerous 20-30 minute breaks throughout the day so I can take them out for short-medium walks then as well as for potty breaks and play time. At the end of the day is when I would take them to a dog park or another long walk.

Availability

We usually do most errands for the animals before/after work. We usually do a big walk and feed dogs before work, medium walk in the middle of the day, and the another big walk after work. If your dog likes runs, that would happen in the morning. In terms of playing, petting, or hanging out - that happens during the whole day as we both work from home full-time!
