I can't believe you can get paid playing with dogs

Pet care experience

I've had Springer spaniels, french bulldogs, German Shepard's, and lots of staffy experience. I do lots of dog/pets research as I love to learn about their perspectives and behaviour. If I go to somebodies house and they have a dog, I'm the guy who spends ten minutes interacting with it and taking a picture. The retriever in my profile pic isn't even mine, but I just needed a picture with him 😂 I've raised lots of puppies with my mum. In recent years, around 4 years, I've had much more experience with cats and included them in my research. My mum has had several cats which I care for. I have a great relationship with my ginger cat Sherbert.

Safety, trust & environment

My flat isn't ideal for pets, so I am really available for care in your home and walks. Lots and lots of walks. Flyby visits are also welcome.

Information David C. would like to know about your pet

Their dietary needs, allergy needs, energy levels, favourite toys and games, excitements and fears, typical behaviours, triggers, what/who they do well/unwell with. Age, health and breed are important too.

A typical day

Taking them to a large field to run around on or off the lead depending on the dog, or simply going on long off-road walks are the basics. Otherwise, a good game can be just using a broom to push around the garden and let them chase it, they almost always love playing tug of war or just chewing it. Alternatively just playing with any of their toys in general for long periods of time entertains them all well. It really depends on the dog. More intelligent dogs can be harder to entertain as they require less mindless playing such as hiding objects in the garden then helping them find them. They get into the routine of going to look for it themselves once told to.

Availability

I work inconsistently at the moment as a student, so my availability is also inconsistent. If I have a free day though, I will be the first to pick up the job. I am free more often than not, so just ask!
