I cared for my family’s dogs, cats, and Guinea pigs growing up and in my twenties I was always dog sitting for friends. I finally got my own dog 13 years ago. My older dog, River was diagnosed with a chronic illness and I managed his medication, and later on, diapering, and hygiene care until he passed away at 15. Our house gained a cat when my husband moved in and we adopted a puppy 3 years ago! Our dog loves other dogs but is respectful of other animals' need for space. Our cat is very tolerant and can be kept away if your dog is a chaser :)
