Our family has had a resident Akita in the house for roughly 22 years, with number 2 (Meka), 3 (Dexter), and 4 (Kato) currently in our home. We’ve been lucky enough to have a few live quite long for their breed so I understand and respect the great connection between a dog and their owner. We’ve also done classes of various lengths of professional training ourselves throughout the years so I have a good understanding of training and obedience. Having a couple dogs live into their senile years I also have experience with caring for an aging dog and all the extra attention they require to keep them comfortable. I naturally drift towards medium to large dogs but I’d love to make some smaller canine friends too!
