The best care for your best friend!
Pet care experience
I love dogs. To me, they're more than pets. They are our friends, our allies, and our companions through thick and thin. They deserve the best because they ARE the best. I’ve lived with dogs most of my life. I’ve helped train and raise puppies (Weimaraner-Lab mix and a pure Lab) to adulthood and cared for them during their senior years. When my family and friends have traveled out of town, they’ve relied on me to care for their dogs (and cats). I have experience administering medicine to dogs and helping those with special needs. It would be an absolute privilege to care for your dog, whether you need help with walking, a drop-in visit, or a house-sit. If you’re interested, send me a message, and we'll see if we're a good fit for each other. I look forward to meeting you and your dog!

Daryl watched and walked our two pups Mars and Bella, and even did some basic training with them. He stayed in touch via text while we were on vacation and even sent us surprise pictures of the dogs throughout the day. Daryl is very kind and gentle, and the dogs immediately connected with him! He did a fantastic job, and we wouldn't hesitate to have him watch them again.
Dogs have always gravitated toward Daryl’s kind spirit. Even as a child, our dogs followed and partnered with him in fun and adventure. It’s as if Daryl and dog were expressing to each other, “You get me.” With Daryl, your dog will be in good and capable hands.
Daryl is a fantastic dog sitter and a truly unique and kind-hearted soul. We were away on a week-long vacation, and he took excellent care of our dog Billy, our cat, Chloe and the chickens we keep in the backyard. He has such a special relationship with animals and connects with them instantly. He was also very good about communicating with us during our trip, which made it easy for us to relax. If you ever need a dog walker or a dog sitter, I highly recommend Daryl!
Daryl cared for my dog Bea Arthur, a poodle terrier mix, and always left her in a better mood and temperament when I returned. He is so loving and gentle with pets. They immediately connect to him and trust him. I wouldn’t hesitate to entrust Bea to Daryl again for any amount of time.

Safety, trust & environment
I've traveled a lot, so adapting to new circumstances, places, and animals has always been easy for me. I'm good with any size or breed of dog, and I'll always be reachable during a sit/walk.
Information Daryl W. would like to know about your pet
Just let me know if your pet has allergies or special needs. When you're giving me care instructions, you can be as detailed and as nit-picky as you want to be; my #1 priority is to make sure your dog is safe and happy!
A typical day
The Department of Agriculture has a great walking trail for dogs - lots of things for them to see, smell, and explore! I'll also play games with them like Fetch, Tug-of-War, or Hide-and-Seek. And I like to keep them mentally stimulated by giving them short training sessions and using healthy dog treats as a reward (with your permission, of course). Of course, all of this will vary depending on your dogs health, age, and temperament. You'll know their favorite activities better than I will, so feel free share any ideas or recommendations you have!

I'm a playwright and freelance writer. I work from home and create my own schedule week-to-week. It's easy for me to schedule you in if I have at least 24-hours notice. Sunday-Wednesday are my designated dog-walking days, but if you're in a pinch and need help during my off-days, feel free to message me. If I have an opening in my schedule during those days, I'll try to help you out.
