Pet care experience
If you are looking for a vacation destination for your pets this is it! Located in a quiet part of Millwoods, your loved ones will get near full time attention from us during their visit either hitting the walking trails, playing tag in our back yard or chilling inside when it’s time for a break. My wife and I are dog lovers at heart, from having a dog as a child to being dog owners for many years. We currently have our second family dog Cooper in our household who’s great with our kids. We are fully skilled from puppy training to senior dog care.

Our house is a safe environment for your pet and we have extensive experience in “puppy proofing” our home to keep the extra curious dogs from getting into trouble. We have two young energetic children that love to be around pets as well. They will be engaged with any furry visitors and will also help keep an eye on them. They are very experienced with dogs from always being around one. Cooper, our Irish Setter is a super friendly dog that loves to cuddle and plays great with other dogs, big and small. He’s still a puppy and is great playing with strangers at the dog park and visitors at home. We have a fenced yard on a corner lot with large windows that our dog Cooper loves to stare out of, or lounges in the typically sun filled living room on the couch. We can also keep an eye on him easily when he goes out for fresh air in the back yard and often check and see what he’s up to if he’s not by our side.

Let me know if your dog has any special behaviours or needs that need to be looked after. We are experienced with troublesome puppies that require extensive watching over, to carrying senior dogs in our arms down our patio deck to the back yard for potty breaks due to mobility issues. Let us know if a public dog park isn’t something you feel comfortable with, no problem. We understand completely if your dog isn’t used to being in an environment like that and we will stick to the mellow walking paths for your dogs visit.
A typical day
From the first early morning minutes on its play time and stimulation for our highly active dog. Chase, hide & seek and tug of war non stop until its break time. There’s some relaxing on the couch but not long after he’s on alert, staring out at the world through the windows until walk time, aside from the many frequent trips out to the backyard. Woodvale is filled with many quiet paths for adventuring and getting our extra steps in, a large part of our daily routine. We welcome the extra canine company to hang out with us be it walking around the Millwoods Golf Course, or walking to nearby Jackie Parker Dog Park which is a 15 minute walk from our house.

Availability
Being dog owners ourselves we make our family dog Cooper a big priority and don’t leave him home alone often, if we do it’s for very short periods of time. We can carry forward this same priority for your pets as well. We have a uniquely flexible schedule as I work shift work in Emergency Services and my wife is a hybrid worker, usually working from her home office. Most of the time at least one of us are home during the day, if not both.
