Hello! Thank you for looking at my profile. I am mainly available to board dogs at my house anytime of the week. I do work from home so I am always home while I am sitting your pets. I can also provide drop-ins, walking your dog or doggy day care. I am not available to house sit at this time. I’ve always had dogs growing up and have a huge love for animals! I currently volunteer at the Licking County Humane Society walking dogs, cleaning kennels, etc. I have never met a dog that we did not become best friends instantly. I currently work a full-time job from home, am a single father of 3 boys and my own fur baby (8 year old rescue, Hunter). He is getting older so he can't exercise as much as he used to, but I love spending my spare time outdoors in either my yard or at the park with him. Supplies such as food and crate must be provided by the pet owner, but I can provide treats, toys and leashes. Currently live in Reynoldsburg, and very open to anywhere in or around Columbus. I live near a couple metro parks that I love to take my dog to for some outdoor playing or walks.

We love Darren! Cali loves when we take her there. It’s her home away from home. It’s a relief to have a reliable, communicative, pet loving dog sitter. Strongly recommend.
From our first correspondence with Darren, he seemed peaceful, caring and compassionate, and we felt he could be the right caregiver for our dog. We were nervous about boarding Winston, as it would be our first time leaving him with a sitter, and it would be for two weeks while we were abroad. Moreover, we had adopted Winston only a few months earlier and he is in some ways a special-needs pup. Our concerns did not phase Darren, who addressed them immediately and empathetically. Our first meet-and-greet reassured us further. During Winston’s stay, Darren updated us regularly via Rover app and text. He sent us photos, too, showing a seemingly content and settled in Winston. Clearly, Darren and his sons provided Winston with a perfect homestay, loving attention, snuggles, walks, playtime, and more. Additionally, the home was as advertised: warm, clean, smoke-free, with a fenced yard. We couldn’t have asked for a better situation and hope to hire Darren again in the future, if he is willing! Lastly, this was our first time using Rover: minus some learning-curve hiccups on our end, it was an easy and efficient service. The app and texting worked smoothly, even from abroad, where cell data or local wifi were sometimes subpar. So, yay for Rover and yay for Darren!!
Darren was great! Him and Cali played fetch everyday, snuggled a lot, and she was well behaved - which to me means she was in good hands. The transition home was easy and painless because Darren took into account Cali’s day-to-day rules at our house while he was sitting her. There’s nothing worse then getting you kid/dog back from grandmas and they act like fools for a few days. We had none of that with Darren on the job! For which I’m very thankful. I will be booking with Darren again in the future. Our family is very thankful to have found someone who is flexible yet reliable and loves our dog as much as we do.

I do live in a ranch house that I own, that has a large fenced in yard. My children are all over the age of 15, so no worries about small children. I also have parks close to my house, and am very familiar with most of the metro parks around Columbus. I love being active with dogs, but also have experience in dealing with senior dogs.

I love to keep dogs as physically active as possible. If you have a fenced in yard I will run around and play with them. I love to take walks with dogs, either in your neighborhood or to a local park. I also have a love for cuddling with a dog while watching TV or whatever.

I currently work a full-time job from home. Being with dogs is something I truly love in my spare time, and is my way of dealing with the stress of life. Dogs can make me forget about the problems of the world.
