Pet care experience
For nearly a year I worked at an animal hospital and assisted in appointments for blood work, nail clipping, suture removal, etc. Volunteering at an animal shelter was something I also did in my free time before my schedule became booked up with pet sitting. I have experience with senior dogs/cats, and have a senior dog myself who is a 14-year-old miniature poodle. I’m also experienced with young large breeds & small breeds. For college I will be majoring in Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary studies while attending Middle Tennessee State University starting in August!

Daria is a lovely young lady who watched my 2 dogs while I was away. She came at the times she said she would and took them outside for longer than I even asked. I was relieved that they were in such good hands and would definitely have her again when needed.

My client’s privacy is very important to me and I respect it by keeping addresses confidential and only allowing myself in the home, so under any circumstances my friends or family will NOT be over. I also make sure that I leave the home clean, secure, and how it was when I arrived. For boarding, I make sure my home is clean and there are no foreign objects within reach for them to consume. I will also close doors and put up doggie gates if necessary to make sure they stay in areas I know are safe!

It is important for me to know any health conditions they have so I am aware of it and can monitor them. It’s also important for me to know of any triggers your dog(s) has or anything that makes them nervous. Knowing what your dog(s) enjoys is useful when I am forming a bond with them so I can provide them positive experiences together!
A typical day
My typical day starts at about 9am, but if your dog is on an earlier schedule let me know and I will gladly adjust my schedule to fit theirs. I enjoy walks and find it is a great way to keep pups occupied, so I like doing short walks in the morning & afternoon, and then longer walks in the evening. If your dog does not enjoy walks or has physical restrictions prohibiting them from doing so, let me know and I will follow what works best for them! During other hours of the day I am just lounging around doing school work and keeping them company.

I am currently a senior in high-school and do my work online so I am available throughout the day. I am motivated to accept bookings so I will gladly take on multiple and put all my energy in them to make it successfully work. I believe this proves to clients my reliability, work ethic, and passion for animal care!
