I have been a pet-owner for 22 years. I currently have 2 cata (ages 14 and 13), a rescue pup (< 1) and 10 chickens, including a friendly rooster named Rocky. Although I love my job as a teacher, I sometimes question why I didn't go into a career that is animal-related. Recently, I administered pills and fluids to my 20-year-old cat, who ran the house! My pets make me immensely happy, and when my husband and I travel, I want to know that they are LOVED and cared for, that they don't miss me because they are enjoying time with a responsible pet-sitter, and that they are safe. I would like to offer that service to others so that they might have the happiest or most care-free of travels or weekend get-aways. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, and cats make me so happy. I am happy to sit and cuddle and/or go for walks or other adventures. Whatever your pet routines are - I am happy to oblige! Nothing seems weird to me: I have to give my dog his allergy pills in cream cheese and prosciutto (and I'm nearly a vegan), so no judgments from me on whatever your pet needs.
