Pet care experience
I have found Rover's services invaluable when I've had to be away from home. I have free time Spring, Summer and Fall, and enjoy helping others out with their home and animal care. Semi retired, I'm an equine reproductive veterinary assistant during breeding season on a racehorse ranch out west, where I care for over a hundred mares and foals, and the ranch pets as well. Here on Hilton Head I enjoy spending time with my Jack Russell mix, biking or playing ball on the beach and introducing her to the sport of dog surfing! I have worked a few seasons in quality control for an upscale vacation home property management company, thus I'm familiar with proper care of a home. I will take responsible care of indoor and outdoor plants, wild birds, fish ponds, and aquarium fish as well.
Reviews
A true animal lover and an amazing expert on horses. Darcy has a Jack Russell mix that she frequently enters into doggie contest from best dressed to best surfing dog and wins frequently. She is dependable and trustworthy. Cannot more highly recommend her. She would be an excellent employee.

As this is a condominium complex I can not accept dogs that would bark or howl when l go out .
A typical day
My condo is on the ground floor, no stairs at all . It's within easy walking distance to the beach and adjacent to miles of shady walking/biking trails around South Forest Beach neighborhood. My dog and I typically go to the beach once or twice a day for an off leash romp chasing the tennis ball. When we have a K9 guest over , the two will be separated at mealtime but allowed free run of the house to play together when I am home to supervise. When I leave the house our guest can relax and nap alone either in the kitchen via a pet gate or the spare bedroom, depending on the size of the dog, or in their own crate if desired. I work weekdays mornings and some afternoons, close by , so can come home during lunch break and take dogs out.
