Pet care experience
**I am accepting bookings for Summer 2023, starting in May! If you are planning your vacations ahead of time, feel free to send me a request!** HOUSESITTING NOTE: Please note I do not sleep/stay overnight at clients' houses as I have my own pets to care for. That said, I will spend most of the day at your house and I'm happy to do early am/late pm visits to accommodate potty schedules! COVID update: I am vaccinated and boosted and comfortable working with clients who are also vaccinated (boosted preferred, though!) Hi! I’m Darcie! I am a college student looking to make some extra income over the summer and taking care of your pets is the best way to do it! I have had cats, dogs, birds, reptiles and guinea pigs in my home throughout my life and I’m comfortable with any animal you can find in the world, including your kid’s tarantula ;). I currently have two very active and high energy cats. I do well with any pet, and naturally tend to attract them - from skittish older kitties to big slobbery dogs, I love them all! I am not intimidated by challenging or special needs pets and I’m willing to do whatever is necessary for you and your pet to get what you need! I do my best to listen carefully and closely to your instructions - and I typically require a meet-and-greet appointment prior to booking (free, of course!) to ensure that we are on the same page regarding your pet's care. If there are specific instructions, medical treatments, or anything unusual, I will request they be written down so we both have peace of mind everything will be handled correctly. Beyond that, I treat your pets like I would treat my pets: with love, care, affection, dignity, and respect.

Darcie is a wonderful pet sitter! She communicates clearly and often, genuinely enjoyed her time with my little dog, and displayed her good sense and understanding of dog behavior throughout the 2 weeks she house sat for us.
Darcie does a wonderful job with our cats and our one cat who needs a lot of care and is very anxious feels comfortable with her. She does a wonderful job updating us and always is quick with communication.
Darcie was absolutely great! Very good with our two dogs, and our oldest pitbull does not like everyone. It was almost like we were home with the dogs because she sends frequent pictures and updates. Darcie really goes the extra mile to take care of your fur babies. I will definitely use her again!
Darcie was great. She gave detailed reports and pictures of both my pets and their food as she was stopping in every other day to check on my cats. She addressed issues as needed, recommending and enacting solutions and was good on clean-up! Definitely recommend.

I give your pets the same care I give my own pets! Lots of cuddles and attention, play time if they want it, and I follow all instructions around feeding, meds, and pottying that you give me. I also make sure I clean up after myself (and your pet, if necessary!), so you can return with your home exactly how you left it.

1. Any medical care or special need requirements 2. Basic temperament information about your dog - are they hyperactive? Aggressive around other dogs? Prone to eating anything left out they can find? 3. Preferences for care - do they need a lot of free run time inside or are they more into a good toy session inside? Are they picky eaters who won’t eat if everything isn’t just so? 4. Location in your house of everything I need, and access to emergency vet info. If this info is all in your rover profile - great! If not, we will go over all of this on our meet and greet.
A typical day
If you have a dog park near you that would be my first choice! I’m also happy to do swimming trips if you’re near water! I am of course also happy to do just a standard walk around the block and play with toys :)

Currently I am a full-time petsitter, so my routine is your routine! Let me know what you need and I will do my best to make it work! I prefer to mirror your every day routine as much as possible/as is reasonable, no need to disrupt feeding or potty schedules if it's not neccessary!
