Relationship Based Care

Pet care experience

For the past 5 years I have specialized in animal care. I started out with owning a reactive dog who opened the door to animal wellness. (I am comfortable walking reactive dogs.) This door opened into the world of Force Free dog training (@thek9solution on Instagram if you want to check us out.) I got a shepherd and started training him to compete in sports, then a lab who became my show dog (I promise he loves it.) Working around and handling dogs has become second nature to me and I’m excepted to see where that can take me.

Darby was an amazing sitter - my dog can sometimes be shy/nervous when meeting new people, but she took to Darby right away! She has great energy that dogs seem to respond extremely well to. Communication was always great, and my dog was always well-exercised after staying with Darby! Would recommended her to family

Sherri had the time of her life with Darby and her dog Billie, and I couldn't have asked for a better sitter for the 3 weeks I was away! I was kept updated with daily pictures and videos, and Darby was also very flexible with drop-off and pick-up. Will definitely come back and recommend to all our other dog friends!

A typical day

Each of my dogs gets a 15-20 minute walk fist thing in the morning then breakfast. Once needs are met and dogs are happy I head out for dog walks and drop-in visits, which is usually 2 hours. I then come home, get the dogs out for some play and a training session. After everyone naps I start the evening dog walk process and finally dinner.
