Hi, I’m Dara and I am enthusiastic about all animals and their quirks! As a former high-volume shelter employee in the south, I have a variety of experience in fostering newborn through geriatric dogs and cats. Certified in Pet CPR and first aid. Bachelor of science in public health. I’m currently a working student seeking additional income with the flexibility that this offers. Incredibly compassionate and loving towards all animals. Guaranteed to treat your animals like they are part of my family. Owner of two of my own fur-babies (who get super excited at the sound of the word “adventure”). They’re a good mix of playful and lazy, so they get along with pretty much everyone. I’m comfortable caring for animals with a variety of needs and I’m willing to accommodate special requests as necessary to make both pet and owner as trusting and secure as possible. In my experience with Dara's dog sitting services, I've only ever been impressed. She has a genuine love and care for dogs, making a job seem more like enjoyment. Not only is she an effective and safe caretaker for a dog, she's energetic and stimulating in a way that's infectious to any pooch she encounters!
Dara is one of the most compassionate and dog loving individuals I have ever met. She has experience working in a shelter advocating for the needs of the animals while providing the utmost care. She considers her own dogs, who are rescues from the shelter, to be apart of her family frequently taking them on nature walks and caring for their needs. Dara’s dogs literally run to the door when they sense her presence and crave her attention. She is the perfect candidate for any dog walking/sitting job and will not disappoint her employer. I do not discriminate against specific breeds. I would primarily just need to know if a dog gets along with other dogs. If not, I do have the ability to keep my dogs separate for safety and comfort.
A typical day
I live within walking proximity to an extensive network of trails and fields in the woods, as well as a fenced in dog park. I grew up traversing the woods so I’m very familiar with the trails, but am always finding more aspects to explore. My dogs and I enjoy getting ice cream and visiting dog-friendly businesses in the area. I have an overstock of dog toys, ensuring that boredom is never an issue. I’m an avid runner so can provide exercise/stimulation for the more active dog as well.
