I adore all animals, and dogs have such a special place in my heart. I moved up to Bethesda in 2019, away from my own baby boy in Florida. Since then I've had many fun experiences making new furry friends through Rover, and my brief time working at Dogtopia. I know what it's like to want the best for your furry friend, as I helped my own pup transition into our household and taught him his manners and tricks. With the proper love and care, all dogs are sweet and loving companions. I'm also completely comfortable with cats—I love them too! Caring for and hanging out with pets is my natural habitat and I am more than eager to bring the love and care your pets need while you are away. I'm just a Daphne looking for a Scooby to chill with!

Daphne took great care of my dog for several days. She was very considerate and patient with Laika from the very first meet and greet. Took time to learn about the dog and how to care for her. She was very responsive through texts and made sure to provide plenty of photos and updates during her stay. Upon leaving she left my home clean and organized. I am very happy with Daphne and definitely would use her services again in the future!
Daphne was really great! Olive was nice and exercised when I came home and it was a good break for her to interact with someone new. We will definitely use her again :)
Daphne did a nice job watching our Scottish Terrier. She is trustworthy & competent. I have no hesitations recommending her to others.

When staying with your fur baby, I always make sure to take time letting them warm up to me. If they need some space I'll give them space, and reward any interaction they initiate with a treat. Once we're comfortable with each other, I make sure they get as many walks and play times in as possible. If your baby's love language is physical touch, well then we're the perfect match! There will be plenty of cuddles and pets to help make up for you having to be away. I also love testing their trick skills, and try to see if there's anything new I can teach them. I'll make sure they get their meals when they need to, and maintain a nice clean space for them to relax. Before I leave your house, I make sure to clean up any mess I've made and to clean the bedding and linens I used.

Let me know if your fur baby has any special needs or behaviors I can account for. Are they scared of thunderstorms? Do they have medications? Any skin conditions to look out for? Certain blankets, toys, or treats that make them the happiest? When we go on walks, are there certain people or animals we should avoid as your pup gets aggressive or skid-ish? Any special care needs that you can communicate will help me know how to care for your baby in the best way possible.
A typical day
I love to make sure your fur babies are being exercised mentally and physically by playing games and going on walks (if that’s their thing). I also make sure to bring on the love, providing lots of pets and cuddles. If your baby is good off-leash, I'd love to take them to a nearby dog friendly park if you have one nearby.

I am currently working a few gig jobs to make ends meet until I can find the job that fits me the best. But that leaves my schedule wide open to dedicate the care and love that your fur baby may need.
