Hello! My name is Daphne. I am a 21 year old college student living in Chico, CA. I am currently studying to be a highschool English Teacher. I have been house-sitting and pet sitting for friends, family, and strangers for about 6 years. I absolutely love animals and love caring for them. I have 2 dogs of my own back in my hometown that I love and I am missing so much while I am up at school! I love pet-sitting because I really enjoy getting to know new pets and having the chance to play with them.

Daphne is a very sweet girl who very obviously has a love for animals. She has always been very responsible and communicative with us when caring for our pets. She has stayed at our house with our dog and cat for week long trips on many occasions. She always leaves our home in good condition and leaves our pets safe and happy! It’s so wonderful having someone we know we can trust leaving our pets with while we travel. I would definitely recommend Daphne to anyone looking for a pet sitter!
This was my first experience with a stranger having access to my house and also be responsible for my pups so I was a little nervous. Daphne came over and met them ahead of time and made me feel more comfortable meeting her and seeing how the pups reacted to her. Everything went great. My puppy (7 month old) ate some of the carpet but she had done this before but I could tell how awful Daphne felt. She went above and beyond for something out of her control. My dogs did not seem depressed or overly excited for me to be home which told me they were well cared for and loved it my absence. I will be booking with her again.
My dog was lucky to have Daphne stay with him for a long weekend while I was out of town! He’s an anxious pup, but she took great care of him and accommodated his anxiety-related care needs. We will definitely be re-booking with Daphne again!

Before booking a stay, I typically like to meet with the client beforehand to discuss their pet’s needs and meet their pets. I am okay with staying at your house overnight with your pets or just visiting during the day. I’m sure I’ll be able to accommodate whatever is best for you and your pets. Of course I will always leave your home in the same condition I found it and keep the doors locked. I will always ensure that your pets and your home is safe and secure while you are away. If you have any specific requests regarding my stay at your home (watering plants, feeding fish etc.) I’m happy to help out however I can!

A typical day
I love taking dogs on walks or hanging out with them outside. We can also stay inside and I will pet them and give them lots of attention while we hang out and watch tv or something. I can always accommodate any specific requests you might have.

Availability
I have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays but they are spread out so I am able to come back in between classes. If I am staying with your pet in your home I will be able to be there for most of the day and if I have class that day I will only have to leave for a couple of hours at a time.
