Pet care experience
I have cared for dogs including special needs seniors beginning when I was 10 years old. During my childhood my family home worked with a local dog rescue and we typically fostered 8-12 dogs in our home at a time that we would work passionately to find permanent homes for. In 2018 I adopted my 2 cats Céline and Emilé. Before adopting them, I had no experience with cat ownership, but I have grown to love them just as much as the dogs my family and I found homes for during my childhood.

Once again, Daphne was terrific with our dogs. We were gone longer we usually are, and we have a new puppy, and Daphne took great care of the dogs and the house. I could not recommend her more; if you are looking for a kind, responsible, wonderful sitter, Daphne should be your first choice.
Appreciate daphne watching our two sweet girls more than anything! She did a great job of keeping us up to date on how they were doing. Sending us photos. Made us leaving them so much easier knowing they were in good hands.
Daphne is just great. She has looked after our golden retriever puppy and senior pomeranian three times now and we are sure to use her again in the future. She sends updates and pictures, and we feel very comfortable having her in our home.
I would highly recommend Daphne for taking care of your pup! She’s kind, calm, and follows instructions to a tee. My dog Miko is a shepherd mix and is very protective and apprehensive of strangers. I explained this to Daphne and she has been more than willing to work with Miko to build trust and a good relationship with him. I’ve been extremely happy with how she’s handling him and after a few times seeing her, he’s really liking her. If you’re looking for a sitter you can trust to take great care of your dog, definitely go with Daphne!

With most of my bookings being in home house sittings, what I strive for is providing your pet with comfort and the familiarity of following their normal daily routine. I am available to offer in-home pet visits including play time, providing fresh water / food, clean up of any litter box/ potty pad area / feeding area and general daily updates. I can also provide pet walks and outings catering to what your pet specifically enjoys. Ex: short distance walk, longer excursions, trips to your pet’s favorite park or trail, or even cat walks with a pet stroller. You can count on me to care for your pet as if they are one of my own.

General temperament of your pet and how do they usually react to someone (other than their parents) entering the home? Is your pet reactive to birds, other dogs, small children, or strangers? How does your pet react to having their harness / leash put on before going outside? How did your pet react to having their harnesses/ leash removed following an outing? Does your pet attempt to run outside when someone uses the front or back door? Is your pet currently recovering from an injury? Any specific needs your pet may require, like necessary medication, senior care, allergies or general fears / things to avoid.
A typical day
Activities I enjoy doing with pets during a typical visit include a trip to a local dog park, longer walks on hiking trails, or simply spending time with / playing with pets in the comfort of their home. Following an outing I find pets sometimes also enjoy mental stimulation with a meal served in slow feeder dish, or even practicing commands with their favorite treat as a reward. If your pet is solely requiring a home visit, I can spend time interacting with your pet with their favorite toy, or if you let me know what kind of toys they typically like, I can bring by something new for them to enjoy.
