Pet care experience

What Sets Me Apart: Promises to deliver daily photo/video updates and have an active direct line of communication for the duration of your pets stay. Your pets will hardly ever spend a minute alone. I do this full-time and live in the space where I keep them. See my photo reel for pictures of the area. I have my own crate, playpen, large dog bed, toys and food/water bowls. Owners only need to provide food, and whatever else they would like their pet to have access to while they're away. My 8 panel playpen allows me to set up my space with different divisions. This is handy for feeding time, or in the rate event I am not present and need to separate the pets under my care. I will ALWAYS get both owners permission before introducing and boarding two dogs that haven't met. Introductions are done professionally through the large playpen I have. I can tell instantly whether the pets will get along, which they almost always do. I only book multiple pets after a lengthy conversation with both owners that must end with each of their permission. I know how much a person can love their pet, and I intend to treat them all as if they were my own. In addition to my perfect Rover review record, I work with WAG, where I also maintain a perfect 5-star review average. I’m happy to provide references. I have owned and trained dogs most of my life. I have fostered puppies and experience training all types of dogs. I took a 2 week intensive training course with a company called Love in the Lead when I lived in Charlotte.

Danny was amazing! He was very responsive and easily reached when we needed to contact him. He treated our new puppy with love and patience and was very respectful of our home. Thank you for being there for Milo and treating him like one of your own! Would highly recommend :)

Danny is very nice, caring, and professional. He took care of my dog very well. My dog was tired and happy from his walk. I recommend Danny and will use his services again!

Danny was great! He was prompt in his communication, sent pictures of our dog daily, and very personable. He was also flexible and gracious when our travel plans were affected by weather. Our dog was comfortable and happy after his one week stay with Danny. Overall a great experience. We will definitely contact Danny next time we need someone to look after our dog.

Information Danny D. would like to know about your pet

I typically ask owners to bring a printout of their feeding and walk schedule to drop off. It’s also good to know any behavioral quirks the dog might have (chasing after squirrels, not getting along with other dogs, picky eaters, etc.). I always make sure to ask if the dog has any allergies or if certain foods upset their stomach.

A typical day

I believe it is incredibly important to not only stimulate a dog physically, but also mentally. I absolutely love going on hikes with dogs (with the owners permission of course). I live walking distance to an amazing nature preserve with miles of trails. I like to start each morning with a long hike - it’s so good for the pet (and me!). The heat isn’t too bad in the mornings but I always bring a collapsible water bowl with plenty of water. I ensure to keep them in the shade and their paws off concrete on hot days.
