Great with anxious dogs and cats
Pet care experience
From the smallest Chihuahua to my own German Shepherd mix, I'm experienced in caring for dogs who take time to warm up to new people. With patience (and a few treats) I have become best buddies with many anxious dogs. I can also provide grooming services for cats and dogs. Growing up with a husky has taught me how to tame thick undercoats with no more than 2 brushes. As for cats, my long-haired ragdoll trained me for 8 years on how to brush him just the right way. No matter what service you request, I can ensure the safety of your pets in a crisis since I am Red Cross certified in cat and dog first aid.

Dannica is very caring and takes the best care of our dogs. She does a great job communicating when we are gone and our home is always left is excellent condition.
Dannica does a great job caring for both of our dogs. She is patient caring and takes good care of them. She really took time to get to know our animals and left both our house is great shape and our dogs well taken care of. She was a great communicator throughout our trip and gave updates on our dogs so we knew they were safe. Excellent house sitter and will hire again.
We booked Dannica for multiple stays with our animals and we were disappointed by her level of service. Both of our dogs got out during the first visit (which she told us about), and then one of them got out during the most recent stay - which she did not tell us about. Our dogs are not escape artists and know not to run out of the front door. First time - okay maybe it could happen since it was one of our dogs' first time with a sitter. Second time? Carelessness is involved. Our dog was loose in the street and Dannica did not inform us about this; we only found out because of our motion camera outside. She also was extremely uncommunicative throughout both stays. Barely sent any photos or updates, even when we told her that one of them had been limping before we left and to keep an eye on it for us. She did not tell us that she would be leaving our dogs alone for longer than the agreed upon time. While she took fine care of the house, and all animals were accounted for and alive when we got home, we cannot trust Dannica with our pets moving forward and will not be rebooking her as a sitter.
Dannica did an amazing job looking after our pooch. Dannica provided regular updates and photos, while having genuine care for our dog.

Dog walks are my specialty! I carry water, a doggie bowl, a first aid kit, and extra doggie bags on me at all times during walks so that I am prepared for whatever may happen. Additionally, the back of my car is spacious enough so that I can transport your dogs either to a fun trail, or to the vet in case of an emergency. I love walking on trails with dogs, but I know all too well that rainy days can leave a white dog looking brown. If your dog wants to roll around in the grass or sink their paws into some mud, I have a designated dog towel ready in my car. For house sittings, I care for pets in my client's home by staying with the pets for the majority of the day. I feed the pets as per instructed by my client, take the pet on 1-2 walks per day, and always include play time. If your dog or cat is a snuggle bug, count me in! Drop-ins are a great option if you have low-maintenance pets who just needs some food, water, and a quick walk outside to go potty. If you have an unexpected trip come up, I can almost always cover requests for same-day drop-ins.

I enjoy walking (or jogging) with dogs on shaded trails so that they can get all their energy out and not have to worry about overheating. My favorite place to take dogs on walks is Coal Creek trail in Lafayette.
