Pet care experience
Hello! My son Matthew is The Critter Sitter! He is 9 and just loves all animals. He has been pet-sitting for a couple of years now and is comfortable with big dogs, small dogs, cats, bunnies, cows, chickens, reptiles, you name it! I have always had animals growing up and have been teaching him to care for all different types of animals. When we go to a customer's home, I bring him and let him do most of the work however I am there to supervise and teach. We both love on the animals, play with them, can administer any medicines, clean up after them etc.

Matthew, has cared for my 135 pound Great Dane. She is an older Dane and kennel are out of the question. As soon as Matthew introduced himself to her she loved him! And she is a very shy Dane and does not open to anyone right away Matthew IS definitely one of the few people. He cared, feed and loved her as she was his own pet. He is someone I would definitely recommend to family and a neighbor. Do not hesitate to reach out.

We are able to make as many visits to your home as necessary. We also have a fenced yard to keep your animals safe and secure. We have a smaller home with 2 cats. They usually get along with all other animals, however, if they don't they will climb the cat tower we have or go hide under the bed haha. If worse comes to worse, we could always keep our kitties in a different room, but we have never had to do that before.

Let me know if your dog or cat has special needs or requirements so I can be sure to give proper attention. I prefer dogs that do not jump up on me, however, I know a lot of dogs do when they are excited. I have learned if I put my knee up and say a stern "no" or "down" they eventually learn it is not fun and they are not getting the attention they desire from it.
A typical day
I love to throw the ball and frisbee for dogs. I also love to watch cats chase lights and toys around the house. Our neighborhood is pet friendly and many people have dogs.

We homeschool so we are able to create our own days. This makes pet-sitting wonderful for everyone because we are able to make multiple stops at someones home and can help multiple families at once.
