Love animals & follow instructions!

Pet care experience

I started volunteering at the Antioch Animal Shelter in the 4th grade. Since then I have volunteered at numerous shelters and rescues, including the emergency animal shelter in Oroville after the Camp Fire. I'm Disaster Animal Rescue Team (D.A.R.T.) trained, animal CPR and first aid certified, and have years of TNR experience. I have had many exotics as pets, including a reef tank at one time. I have no issue feeding crickets and worms, but I can't feed snakes rodents. I'm a lifelong vegetarian, so that would traumatize me. Lol. I also love rodents, and currently have 2 rescue guinea pigs. Animal care and nutrition are a passion of mine. I'm also an expert teeth brusher! I brush my cats and dogs teeth every night and some of my pet sits as well. I'm very experienced giving medication, even pills to cats. Two of my regular cats I sit take meds, so I'm very comfortable with this and I do not charge extra. Animals are allowed on the furniture in my home, even the bed. A couple of dogs I regularly sit sleep in the bed with me and my dogs. I treat other people's furbabies the way I would want my furbabies treated. I'm a helicopter pet parent so I totally understand how hard it is to trust someone with the ones you love. I always send pet pics, even if you are overseas (WhatsApp). If I ever thought something was wrong with your pet I would notify you asap, and I have no issue taking an animal to the vet. I'm pretty OCD when it comes to pet care. I actually have a pet thermometer and carry a microchip reader in my truck with an extra leash. You'd be surprised how many times I've used that chip reader! Being a helicopter pet parent I NEVER EVER leave an animal outside alone, not even in my fenced in yard. I don't take chances. I'm also obsessively clean, so your litter box will not be a hot mess when you return, and if your dog uses a potty pad no problem. I also have waterproof vinyl plank flooring so accidents and kitty puke is easy to clean up. :-D. When I board animals it is very much mi casa esu casa!

Danielle is amazing! She is thorough, so friendly, and goes above and beyond to make sure pets are well cared for. When we had our meet and greet, I was instantly put at ease and knew I had met someone who I could trust with my pets. She kept me informed and sent sweet pics of my dog and cats. Will definitely be rebooking!!

I was referred to Danielle by a friend and I’m so excited I found a fun, loving and trustworthy sitter. I frequently need boarding for days at a time and knowing my baby is being well taken care of is major. My Malshi loved playing with her little dogs and cats. She said me many updates and pictures which I love. My dog was able to make herself at home sleeping in her bed and the couch like she does at home. I often get pictures of her depressed but she looked like she was having a blast and not having any separation anxiety. Danielle even brushed her teeth which I barely get to. She prioritizes safety and always watches them even outside. A good sitter is hard to find. Since I’m recently single I feel so relieved I found her to watch my fur baby.

You can spot a true animal lover by the way they treat their pets….well…Danielle takes animal lover to a glorious new extreme . I kid you not, EVERY animal she meets, whether furry or fanged, is spoken to and cared for with love and regard as individual creatures. This includes conversations, cuddles, and meticulous adherence to special needs . That’s why she’s been my pet sitter for almost ten years . Danielle loves my pets just like they’re hers. She’d even calls to ask about them!! And it’s totally from the heart. Get to know this one, your pets will thank you !!

I follow the care instructions to the letter. If your pup requires a crate it must be brought with them, since mine are not crated. I am comfortable giving medication and supplements, measuring food, following a raw food diet, feeding exotics, etc. I'm also comfortable grooming for an extra fee, but will never ignore a mat in their fur or charge extra for daily grooming like toothbrushing.

Information Danielle T. would like to know about your pet

I'm very comfortable giving meds and supplements. If you have a lizard that gets a weekly electrolyte bath or have a senior cat that does not groom themselves I can do it. Just let me know what their needs are. :-) Also, please let me know about any specific behaviors they might have, including food aggression. I know of one particular kitty who gets mad when mama goes on vacation and likes to poop in the kitchen. Lol. Nothing you tell me will surprise me, I promise! Lol

A typical day

A typical day for your dog would depend on the feeding schedule you have them on. Most of the dogs I pet sit eat breakfast and dinner. In between time would be cuddles, playing with my dogs, potty time, toys, treats, and whatever exercise is part of their normal routine. One of the lil' guys I sit plays fetch every night before bed. I've had other pups require long walks during the day. Every animal is different and has different needs. A senior pup that was at my home recently just wanted to follow me from room to room all day. Poor girl was too old to jump on the loveseat so she just laid by my feet. ❤️
