Special needs are my specialty

Pet care experience

I have years of experience as a dog foster and have helped with training and puppy raising for many friends and family members. I have experience with anxious and reactive dogs as well as those with medical or other special needs. My house is set up in a way that client dogs can be entirely separated and do not need to see resident dogs if wanted due to fear or aggression. If client dogs want to spend time with others then we do supervised play indoors and in the fenced yard.

Danielle is an outstanding animal caretaker. She has the passion to ensure quality care for the animals she cares for and utilizes her skills to demonstrate her passion for the well-being of the animals on her care. I have left Danielle to the care of my animals throughout the years and I know that she will make the best decisions in order to make my pets stay an enjoyable one. She has good judgement in getting to know your pet to set them up for success doing her caretaking process. Every time I’ve left my pets with Danielle it’s a worry free process with clear communication and daily updates as needed. My pets always come home happier than they were when I left them! She is amazing! Anyone would be lucky to leave their pet in her care.

Danielle has taken care of my pup on several occasions for a long period of time (sometimes up to a week). My dog is a bull terrier husky mix, and she has a lot of spunk and energy. Whenever my dog goes to Danielle's she comes back a better listener and tired out from all the playing. Danielle has a big a backyard for pups to roam and play. She is kind and quiet literally a dog whisperer. I would 100000000% recommend utilizing her services of watching my pup or any pup or animal for that matter. She has also fostered several dogs over the years.

Danielle is great with all dogs, especially ones that are reactive and have special needs. She petsits for us on a regular basis and we always know our dog is in good hands when she's taking care of him!

Danielle will be a a great Walker/sitter. She has the biggest heart for dogs and is one of the most responsible people I know. She has two dogs of her own and also fosters dogs and helps them find a loving home. I have seen dogs that she cares for that have come from traumatic situations and under Danielle’s care they thrive and become happy and learn to trust. She will be a great addition to helping care for dogs at Rover.

Safety, trust & environment

Animals that are boarded in my home have their own area away from resident dogs. Because of the way things are arranged in my home resident dogs can remain entirely unseen by client dogs if fear or aggression is a concern. If desired dogs come together for supervised play times. Comfort and safety is my priority so for that reason client dogs and resident dogs are separated by two barriers when left alone.

Information Danielle L. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I need to be aware of. I am experienced in working with a range of behaviors, I just need to be aware ahead of time so I can alter my setup accordingly. I do have cats in my home, so dogs that are okay with cats are good for longer term stays. Dogs that are not good or unknown with cats are still okay for short term visits.

A typical day

We have a good size securely fenced yard for outdoor playtime as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. While inside we usually spend time together cuddling, playing puzzle games, or practicing training. Dogs in my home can either be kept separate from resident pets or have time together if desired.
