Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Danielle and I am a federal physical scientist and recently a former park ranger w/NPS . I’ve grown up taking care of smaller breeds we owned growing up (chihuahua, dachshund, min pins) as well as had a cat growing up. Initially started rover while in grad school in 2018 and have fell in love with pet sitting again. Currently I am working from home so I have flexibility to pet sit while watching your pet! Note- my work is based in Atlanta but since I am WFH temporarily I live in Augusta. If you or know anyone that lives further away towards Atlanta I will consider servicing that area!

Danielle is very responsible and great with my two dogs. They were happy to see her again. She quickly learned their routine and sent us many updates on how they were doing. So glad we found someone we can trust with our dogs!
This is the first time Danielle has watched over our dogs who are used to being with us constantly. She was was wonderful taking care of them for 5 days while we were on a trip. She updated us a few times daily on how they were doing. She is very professional and even texted us to make sure that we were back and the dogs were not alone. We will definitely want to use her services again when we go out of town. Excellent service!
Danielle was great with our anxious dog and older dog. I’m anxious when leaving the pups but we got lots of updates, pictures, and videos. I felt like they were in great hands and I didn’t worry at all! Will definitely rebook with Danielle in the future,

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is my number one upmost priority. Even with an enclosed yard I make sure to stay outside so your pet is not unattended (unless prior approval to do so from owner). And with walks we make sure to be on a leash at all time and to keep a safe distance from other owner’s pets. Also with safety, If I feel unsafe at any moment, or your pet shows aggression towards myself, I have the discretion to cancel the service. Please let me know if your pet has any aggressive tendencies, or any aggression problems when around people they're not too familiar around. I also prefer to do a meet and greet prior, to make sure we can go over all logistics, and any questions you may have. If the request is last minute, we can also do a virtual meetup via Zoom.
Information Danielle J. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog/cat has any special needs! I have handled giving dogs oral medication (pills and medicine in a syringe) and I also have administered insulin to two cats on a couple occasions! Please also let me know how your pet(s) typically are during the overnight hours ahead of time (if you are requesting me to stay overnight in the home). I will let the owner know of any behavioral issues/bathroom accidents that arise, which happens sometimes (no worries!).
A typical day
A typical day would be making sure to go outside for multiple bathroom breaks, and finding ways to get energy out for your pup (walks, tossing a toy back and forth etc). If your area/complex has a dog park I am happy to take your dog (with prior approval from owner). Because I work from home I cannot offer drop ins or walks M-F, but can provide them before or after work (~4:30p and on on week days) or on the weekend!

Availability
Some notes/things to read for each service: Walks: I provide 30 min and 60 min walks for your pup(s). Please leave a leash (I prefer a traditional vs. retractable leash if possible) and poop bags readily accessible. I tend to keep my distance from other pet/pet owners as a safety precaution. If your pup needs just a quick bathroom break + playtime, please request a "drop in" instead of a walk. If weather is a bit warm/hot, I also will provide water break(s) during the duration of the walk. **If weather becomes an issue (i.e. thunder or lightening) I/myself have the option to cancel the booking under my discretion. A substitution can be made, for example doing a drop in with a quick bathroom break and playing indoors instead in inclement weather. Drop ins: Much like walks, drop ins I offer for 30 min or 60 min. I can provide food/water and bathroom break(s)/short walks. Please have a leash + poop bags readily available. For cats: I am happy to clean litter boxes/replenish, feed and check water levels, and spend the rest of the 30/60 min providing play time with any toys you leave for the cat(s). House Sitting: The last service I provide is house sitting. Most clients prefer me to stay in home overnight, if you prefer otherwise let me know. I appreciate if you can leave a written note with details if possible (i.e. what times they eat, how much to feed, what times they need bathroom breaks, and emergency contacts/vet info and any details on medication if any). Please leave leash(es) and poop bags readily available (if needed). For cats: I do have cat allergies (some cats its pretty mild though), so I prefer to watch no more than 2 cats if possible. A shorter stay (weekend) would be preferred first to make sure my health isnt too affected with the allergies. If you have any questions, please let me know! :)
