We are a pet loving family with over 25 years of experience caring for animals. We have fostered for local rescue groups and have lots of experience with many different personalities of dogs. We know how hard it is to leave your furry kids when you go out of town because we have personal dogs and feel the same way. We will treat your pets like members of our family. They will interact with our family, take walks in the neighborhood, play in the backyard, and sleep where ever they so choose. Our backyard is fully fenced and we stay outside while the pups have playtime and do what they need to do. We want to put your mind at ease knowing that your pet is well cared for and loved while you are enjoying your trip. We will send photos and updates and make sure your pets have as much fun as you are. About this sitter: I have grown up with dogs and absolutely love the company of dogs. We are a fun, loving family who loves to be outside, and just have fun. Why I love dog sitting I have always had a dog in our home growing up and now as an adult I have never had a dog free house. We moved to Houston from Maryland and got involved with the local animal rescue groups. We have opened our homes to over 400 dogs over the past 13 years through fostering and dog sitting. I feel confident around all personalities of dogs. About my yard We have an average size backyard that is fully fenced in with a 6 foot privacy fence. There is also a large covered patio that allows the dogs to enjoy the outside even more. The dogs will not be left outside unattended and either my husband or I will be outside with them. My experience administering medication I am 100% comfortable with oral medication or cream based medication. I do not know how to administer injected medicine through the use of a needle.

We have a fully fenced yard to keep your pups safe. We also have plenty of crates if your pup needs one you most likely can just use one we have. Our personal dogs are very sweet and will show your pups that life here is really good.

I do not have any breed preferences. My only concerns would be how the visiting dog does with other dogs and my daughters. Ideally it would be nice to meet ahead of time before the actual stay to make sure it is the best match for the visiting family and for our family.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We can take walks in the neighborhood or there is a local park that we can go to. We also enjoying just spending time in the backyard and allowing the dogs time to run freely and play or just hang out in the sun. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Visiting dogs can sleep where they are most comfortable. We are willing to do whatever the family asks even if that means sleeping with us! Our dogs do. We also have crates available if that is what they are most comfotable with or we have babygates that can block off certain areas. If the visiting dog is used to having free run of the house, that works for us too! We just want them to feel like they are at their home and as comfortable as possible. Time I'll spend with your dog During the week my husband and I both work from 8:00- around 4:00. We can come home at lunch to give the dogs some outside time. We are home most evenings and most of the day on the weekends. While we are home the visiting guests would be a member of our family and would be allowed with us where ever we are. We can take walks in the neighborhood, play in the fenced in backyard, or go to one of the parks nearby. We have lots of dog beds and toys to play with.

We both work full time during the week but come home at lunch to visit with the pups. We spend evenings and weekends with our pets. I also work for a school district and have a more flexible schedule in the summer.
