Hi! Thank you in advance for your consideration. Here is some information about me and my experience with fur babies! :) I worked at the Chester County SPCA for almost 4 years as a kennel technician. Some of my responsibilies included but were not limited to: Cleaning cages daily, microchipping, vaccinating & medicating animals, conducting adoption interviews, bathing animals, temperament testing dogs, etc. During the time that I worked at the shelter, I was also working on the side as a pet sitter/walker for Sleepy Paws Pet Sitting Services. Throughout my animals profession, I also worked at Toby's K9 camp. (You will see photos if you scroll through my album) About a year ago, I had to put my sweet 4 LB 16 y/o toothless Chihuahua down. I rescued him while I was working at the shelter. He was picked up as a stray running the streets. He was old, malnourished, lethargic, and frightened. I remember seeing him for the first time and I was immediately drawn to him. I agreed to foster him while we tried to arrange a rescue for him. Soon enough, I fell in love with him and kept him! (go figure). I gave him the best 6 years of his life. He made such a huge impact on my life as well. I truly have a deep love and passion for animals. With that being said, I am comfortable with dogs of all breeds and sizes. I am very enthusiastic and love walking, hiking or anything that involves the outdoors.
