Pet care experience
I have trained and loved big dogs since I was a child: my first dog was a black lab, and as an adult I've had pits, rotties, and shepards. I love growing a bond with them and seeing how smart they are! I've taken pet first aid courses and my house and yard are pet friendly. I have also worked with special needs dogs that require insulin injections, eye/ear drops, oral medications, and monitored feeding
Reviews
Danielle took great care of Colleen. She was well snuggled.
Danielle did a fantastic job keeping me updated on my pup’s daily adventures at her home. I told her while I was on vacation, I wanted him to have a vacation and I think I can confidently say that want was met!
Rexy loves Danielle's house! He loves her yard, her dog and kids. He is just as comfortable in her house as he is at home. Danielle is extremely flexible and super communicative. This was our second time with Danielle, and she is our go to whenever our Rexy can't come with us.
If you want your dog tired from so much fun send them to Danielle’s house. Max loves coming here and he sleeps for at least 24 hours after he comes home he plays so hard. Danielle is truly a life saver and i hope she never stops being willing to take max for the day ◡̈

I have three fat, fluffy, completely fearless black cats and a walnut-for-brains 3-year-old German/Anatolian Shep named "Jude" who LOVES playing with new friends! He is a talker and, if anything, is overly friendly - but he is very sensitive to needing to pull back from shy dogs. Despite his size (100+ lbs), he is an absolute gem for helping socialize frightful dogs (or people!). Our house is on .3 acres (fenced) with a small grove of trees to explore. We stay inside during the hottest or coldest parts of the day, and fresh water is always kept outside for drinking while we are outdoors. When relaxing inside, the house is very much "comfort first": dogs are allowed on couches and beds, and we spend a lot of time giving cuddles and pets while watching movies, practicing obedience (with treats for rewards!), and sometimes getting roped into playing dress up or tag with my 4yr old. I am able to provide medication and have experience with diabetic and anxious dogs.

Information Danielle C. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know of any allergies, likes, dislikes, or preferences your pet may have! I am very adaptable and want their visit to be as comfortable as possible.
A typical day
I do my best to tailor our days to the needs of the pet(s) I am watching, and dependent on the weather. We get outside for an hour or two in the mornings and play 'just throw no take' for a bit. I am home except for 20mins for school pick up/drop off, and in the afternoons my 4yr old *loves* playing fetch, tag, etc., with dogguests. (She also loves to give them tours of the house during meet and greets, and to help w food, treats, etc! Because of her involvement, it *is* required that clients' dogs have been around children and react positively to them). When the weather is good, we spend most of the day getting out the zoomies in the backyard, which I have professionally "poop scooped and sprayed" 2x a month! Lots of interesting things to sniff and explore. I have several bird-and-critter feed stations, so squirrels, doves, hawks, and a range of other animals can often be seen (and chased) within the security of my yard. Dogs are not outside unsupervised at any time.

I am a part-time occupational health consultant and an active volunteer with a veteran support and advocacy non-profit, as well as a single mother of two (5 and 13) and a PhD student. Since so much of my time is spent at home in front of a computer, I take in dog-guests for daily drop-off through long-term (2+ week) stays. The flexibility of my schedule allows me to always block off time to work remote while I have clients!
